Last movie seen

M-0026_Metalstorm_The_Destruction_of_Jared-Syn_quad_movie_poster_l.jpg

I thought I would seek this film out again after DuracellEnergiser mentioned it as his favorite bad movie. I had not seen this in years and remembered nothing about it at all apart from the poster which I think is really good. I actually thought it was okay and could do with a good release on blu in 3D though that's never gonna happen. Maybe have a double package with 'The Humanoid', my favorite bad movie.

Is the theater where you saw Star Wars still standing ?
Time

Found a couple of pictures of the old cinema in Weymouth, Dorset. U.K.

Here I first saw The Empire Strikes Back in the summer of 1980 while on holiday with my parents. The week before, the film was Bronco Billy with Clint Eastwood. We were second in line for Empire on the opening evening and I remember I kept going over to look at the quad poster. There was an intermission in the film as Luke starts his training with Yoda. I bought the Empire soundtrack (single disc version) and was well happy that holiday.

Cinema status: Now demolished.

Managed to pick up a Black Series 6" Boba Fett figure. These are selling now for usually double the retail price on Evilbay.

Ugh, so jealous. I've been looking casually but have yet to find one. I want it so bad.

I was at Forbidden Planet in London the other day and there was a whole rack of these figures for £22. Some guy on evilbay is selling one for £50!

Yub Nub music - availability?
Time

I think that cover art may be for a fan made soundtrack. The soundtrack includes Jabba Sail barge music, the different celebration ending music etc....

The abrupt end of Ewok celebration sounds like a fan edit.

The same is found in the choral version. An edit has been made to have the Return Of The Jedi end title music. The original  version of this track was on the Star Wars Anthology CD box set, but for some reason they decided to put the end titles of The Empire Strikes Back afterward.

Sick of Star Wars Prequel bashing....
Time

Here's a reply quote from one of your mates in a post that you duplicated here.

Those people are garbage. Garbage. They're the type of people who live worthless lives talking **** behind a screen. I'd be frustrated too if I was a 30/40 year-old nobody who didn't have anything better to do than vent on internet boards. You're not clinging to nostalgia. It's the other way around. They're (the OT-ers) the ones who cling on to their precious OT films as some sort of sacred films.

Do you really expect any support from us ?

Discussion: How many of you (still) have any of the old Kenner action figures?
Time

I still have all my figures and I kept them in great condition. Only a few weapons are missing at the moment. I am in the process of re-carding the figures. For any figures that have lost weapons I have found reproduction ones. I replaced Ben Kenobi's cape and Princess Leia's cape due to slight damage. The reproduction cards and bubbles are expensive so it is a slow process to re-card all the figures. For the Star Wars and Empire figures I have managed to re-card them with the Palitoy logo as that is what they were released here as in the U.K

Also have the Palitoy Death Star in great condition with only the box quite tatty at the ends.

The Y-Wing with bomb, no box

Snowspeeder, no box

AT ST, box but some damage.

In an Anglican church, we invite everyone to take communion whatever denomination, if they are are in good standing with their church.

If I enter a Catholic church, why can I not take communion. Am I not good enough ?

To answer that question, I would like to ask what your beliefs are regarding communion. There are three different beliefs among Anglicans, so my answer may depend on which belief is held in your church. One of the beliefs is that of transubstantiation, the belief held by the Catholic Church, in which we believe that the bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Christ, not symbolically or spiritually, but in every way aside from appearance. Another Anglican belief is that Christ is completely present in Communion, but that the bread and wine are not Christ himself. The third belief is that of consubstantiation in which Christ is believed to be present in the sacrament to those who "permit their souls to be radiated with the Holy Spirit at the time of the sacrament."

The first from your list. Simply, The bread and the wine become the actual body and blood of Christ.
