TIE Fighter Pilot from the Black Series 6inch range. Picked one up yesterday. Pretty good huh?

New Wonder Woman costume as of June....
Yeah, it would have been great if the Universal legacy titles had continued with the rest of the films. At least they would all have been in one place.
Apart from the legacy sets, I have Universal horrors spread out over at least five other box sets and some single DVDS and cover the films Boost mentions. Some of the films from the box sets are now starting to be released on their own as part of the Universal Vault series. From the Universal Vault series I picked up Jungle Woman and the rare The Secret Of The Blue Room. Still waiting for the last of the Paula films, Jungle Captive.
Have you tried this ?
It features 80+ films and I can totally recommend this. Tom Weaver really knows his stuff. It can be a bit pricey though.

The only Halloween films I am intrested in are the original Halloween and Halloween II. I have seen a few of the other sequels but Michael Myers just did not look right. I think I may have seen up to the Curse Of Michael Myers and then was not interested anymore.
Some more Justice League Of America issues for the collection.
Poor 'ol Superman is in distress again in issue #153 as he is bashed across the bonce my Ultraa.
Woke up to find it had snowed in the night. Not too bad though. The roads are clear but it is snowing at the moment. The North of the U.K have snow quite bad.
Wow ! That's excellent.
A U.K dvd release of Dracula (1931)
Someone felt the need to add a see-through fang to Bela.

That thing looks really gross! Like it would be sticky and smell bad.
And what's wrong with is face?!
Aww ! Don't be like that.
I've been filling in the gaps of my Justice League Of America collection.
Comics date are from 1977.
Wow! How cool is this ?
Next time I put my hand in a box of chocolates (quality street) in the dark. I must check the silver foil is off the toffee before I bite down on it. How was I to know that it was a double wrapper ? Ouch !!
Just read issue #1.
*SPOILERS*
Like Tobar I thought it was too soon for Luke to be facing Darth Vader. Luke does not know anything really about the force or fighting with a lightsaber anyway at this point, but sets out to find Vader saying " I have to face him, I have to end this."
Also, Han casually mentions to an Imperial officer about the Death Star being blown up. How many people actually knew about the Death Star anyway ? Just something that came to mind as soon as I read it.
So yeah, lets see what happens next issue.

The internet excitement/chatter/speculation/ect for Force Awakens made me have a flash back to before AOTC came out. I was on TF.N, somewhat trolling I suppose, when I started a thread about whether or not George Lucas was going to let Samuel L. Jackson say "motherf*cker" in the movie, since that was pretty much what he was known for saying in virtually every film. I guess you can assume what the response was.
Ha, I would like to read that. Is there a link to your post so I don't have to search through all the rubbish in the bin ?
Agh! Here we go again. After 37 years Marvel have decided that Spider-Woman is in need of a new costume because, you know, red spandex is so not cool any more. Much like DC's new Batgirl costume here is Jessica Drew's new duds. Once again, not happy with this but will stick with the title because I like the charactor so much.
Meh...

If we go down, reconnecting at TFN might be an interesting exercise.
Wow! Imagine that. Stand well back and watch the fireworks go off !
I went to the exhibition that ran along side the showings of the films. The small exhibit featured the continuity work of Ann Skinner and featured polaroids and script details. The polaroids featured Blockade Runner, Cantina, Toshi Station, Trash Compactor, Rebel pilots.
Some of the polaroids and script details are here.

This just reminded me about the behind the scenes exhibition. It only runs until the 4th of January. Might just make it after Christmas.

The droids are just bickering friends. I think the gay couple thing may have started with Mad Magazine's parody, which made Threepio limp wristed, and Artoo complaining he was stuck with a "f*g robot". I'm amazed that it was reprinted around the 20th anniversary with that word intact.
I have a Mad Magazine Sci Fi special from the 1980's which reprints various stories and the word is intact. The Mad about Star Wars book from 2007 changes the word to 'gay'.
Picked up the Black Series 6" figures Biker Scout and Speeder Bike at the weekend at last. At the beginning of next year Bossk gets a 6" release. It looks pretty awesome to me.

I'm reading the book 'The Making Of Day Of The Dead', and in it they mention the filming location of The Wampum Caves, later known as the Wampum Industrial Facility. Well, the facility is just like the film. A huge 2 million square feet underground storage area where everything and anything is stored. In the film it is mentioned that stored down there are "the negatives of all your favorite movies". Well, the book mentions that the negatives of the Star Wars films were stored down there. With so much stuff stored down there I wonder if the originals are still there !
I've read that book and wondered those thoughts myself.
But I remember reading somewhere that there was some kind of accident (Flood? Fire? I can't remember) sometime in the 1990's that destroyed most of what was stored down there. I did a quick Google and didn't find anything, so maybe I'm wrong.
I can't find anything either. The website FAQ talks about cave in checks but nothing in the history. http://wampumunderground.com/about-us/our-history/
[Page Avjet became the sole owner in 1980, rebranding the mine as the Wampum Industrial Facility. Through the years, space has been used in a variety of ways: from a storage facility for equipment, metal alloys, vehicles, and food products to a secure records storage facility with humidity and temperature controlled vaults for vital records, film (Star Wars Trilogy along with other classics), microfilm and computer tapes, to a film location for movies including the 1985 cult classic Day of the Dead by George Romero.]

I'm not sure I like it. If Luke used the Force in "Star Wars" to blow up the Death Star, doesn't that mean The Force has been awake all along?
That's exactly what I thought when I heard the title. And... Return Of The Jedi. Pretty much sums up in that title that the force is up and about.
