As we're talking about this....
As we're talking about this....
which is why i will never be a crying baby over how GL made his movies. I got more important things to do.
That gives me a good idea...

Readers will be able to enjoy the EU long after Karen Traviss will have laid down the pen. I think fans will still enjoy this franchise many decades from now, and that's something to be happy about.
I enjoyed it more before she picked up the pen and started shitting all over Star Wars. She's like the Lucas of EU.
Also, Jacobss, you're not getting what Frink is saying, his issue is you saying "rape." Even/especially in jest.
I like her writing. Republic commando novels were awsome. It didn't intersect in anyway with the movies and so had its own storyline.
On topic, i really doubt Lucas tampering with the OUT is ruining them in anyway. What is important about the movies are the story they tell, not the way they look...Even though that does help.

Can't deny that Maul was the best Sith ever...In the movies that is.
I liked the part when Maul stood there for about 5 seconds while Obi-Wan leaped over him, grabbed a lightsaber, turned it on, and swung it into his stomach.
Really showed off those Sith instincts...
Well, i found him a lot cooler then Vader. I know he had a black and white background, but it made him all the more interesting. And if you do read the EU, you'll find he's more badass then vader

but... but... these are more than movies for me... it is my childhood and... Lucas raped it...
you gonna be immature with that Lucas raped my childhood thing?
And i'm not worried. I can live with SW as it is even if i don't agree with the changes.
Are you guys really serious with this? You feel down because SW is not the same anymore? Come on! That should be the least of your worries! If i felt so down about SW as you guys i would've put a bullet through my head!
Don't worry about a stinkin' movie so much. Its pathetic.
Battle of Endor hence the acronym "B.O.E."
But he wouldn't fit because the Ghost Jedi were people he knew. He never met Qui-Gon so it wouldn't fit.

The Taun Taun actually always blinked, as far as I know. I thought it was a change back in 2004, but it's a good old practical effect.
Yes, people - alien creatures can be made to blink without CGI ;)
there is a software for that.
Anyways, i just wish that the BOE was a lot more intense. i still feel its lacking fighting. Especially when you only see one SD explode before the SSD crashes.
just courious...What's the age range on this site?
A lot of things i've never noticed. I guess he did improve the movies somewhat. There are still issues with the Lightsabers. i wonder if he got the blinking from Ady. Anyone else notice the Tuan Taun blinking, (once), also?
Rocks over R2? Where was that? i noticed the Wicket blinking though.

Only one word can describe how epically crap an idea this is. This is a shit idea (apologies for use of swearing, generally I think it degrading, but I was at a loss to think of a word appropriate.
Maul was killed off too early, and his death was awful - if Obi-Wan "had the high-ground" what on earth did Maul have? It would of been better if Maul's lightsaber had just stopped working when it was chopped in two, instead of magically carrying on working...
Somewhat off-topic... I've hard good reports of the clone wars, but some of the plots are awful. Still moment's like this; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnZaNNY_arU are much better Yoda moments than anything in the PT films. I just wish in Episode III Yoda and Sidious had a Force Fight, Yoda is about to win then Vader (in suit) turns up, and Yoda has to retreat... Would have been so much better!
Some of the clone wars episodes are a little mature for kids IMO. Seeing as how they do have light sabers going through bodies or cutting off heads in some episodes.
Aside from that, this will be another GL thing that i am going to say doesn't exist. The inifnites one with Darth Vader, that was from tales and it was supposed to be related to Luke's confrontation with Vader on Daghobah.
However, this maybe an interesting episode to watch anyways.
I was refering to the creator. But yea. That's the only way you can see them fixed.
Well? Are we talking about popularity or quality? i was under the impression we were talking about popularity.

In a world where one of the characters in the series is a sack of organs from a former soldier hooked up to a robot, I think Boba Fett and Darth Maul are both strongly implied by the films' treatment to be dead but simultaneously contradicted by the internal logic of the series' technology as not having to stay that way.
Apologies but I'm still confused. Are you saying we can assume Fett didn't bite the sand in ROTJ? Is this an EU thing?
Only if it exists to you. And if it does, you get a better understanding of who Darth Maul was: A Zabrak from Iridonia, Tattooed his face, been an apprentice since he was a youngling and the rest of his origin is gone. REad the EU you find out about his under cover missions...If you believe in it that is.
Aside from that, this is a stupid idea. And Obi-Wan only fought him once so no rivalry exists. This is alomost as bad as GL saying Jango Fett wasn't a Mandolorian.

Officially, the Star Wars franchise is considerably weaker than it was 15-20 years ago.
the conventions get bigger every year and so do the charity foundations and anything else relating to SW. I doubt SW will be dying anytime soon. Especially when you got the younger generation growing up with the the saga and watching clone wars on tv.
And i think there's more to be bummed about in life then star wars.
You didn't like Avatar? Funny the critics said the same thing yet it made a crap load of money. They only put it down because half of it was CGI, but i thought it was very well done.
Now a days though, for characters, they usually put the actors in the special outfits and record them doing the movements. That way they can get the movements right when they do the computer modeling. So, it really is the actors moving in the shots, only they're covered the with the CGI.
I saw all the Indie's and i have to say, the only one i enjoyed was the very first one. The rest just seeemed to have dragged on.
Decades from now we'll have flying ships with lasers and better camera controls/movements so there'll be no need for it.
Vader's sword still looked pink, Luke's looked white. And they had that stupid cut between the activating and deactivating the light saber in ANH when luke is using it.
I thought this would've been fixed by now.
I was wondering when it was coming to an end.
Anyways, i see more people dressed up as darth maul rather then Vader now adays. I think that one scene in ROTS made him look like a wuss. Sadly, i agree.
I thought the image quality was amazing. a big step up from the DVD versions. Unfortunatly, i saw no difference in the Greedo shoots first scene.
why do i feel the maturity level has died down here? :p
I think this movie helps tie in the PT with the OT a little bit better.
