alright I'm sorry but I just can't ignore being called a coward. I said it before and I'll say it again Jimbo was arrogant, rude , and insulting long before the thread was created to ban him. Also I didn't create the thread I just expressed my opinion in the thread and agreed with it. I doubt that thread had anything to do with his behavior. You say I should have ignored Jimbo. Tell me why in hell I should have too? The point is, no one should have to put up with the kind of things that Jimbo said. Maybe it is just my personality, I don't do well ignoring people. When I was bullied in school my teachers and parents and others told me to ignore the bullies. Most of the time it didn't work. They (the bullies) just kept getting worse and worse until it was impossible to ignore them. Maybe ignoring Jimbo would have made him stop but I doubt it. Thing is I don't see why I should have to. He shouldn't be saying those things in the first place. Is not too much to ask the person be civil and mature in this forum? and to not insult people? I don't think so. As for bashing him when he can't talk back. I apologize for the 1st post I made in the Jimbo Memory thread it was inmature and rude. The 2nd post was just a response to your post over there and I meant those things I said and I won't apologize for them. I have the right to speak my mind on him weither he can talk back or not. Please remember there were many times that I bashed him when he could respond. And you may not realize this but there have been many times when for the sake of keeping the peace I held back. As for your idea of a temp ban for me. By your logic, since you have asked my banning I now have the right to bash and insult you, I'm not going to of course but by your own logic (the banning jimbo thread giving Jimbo the right to bash us) I have free reign to do so.

p.s. I am sorry to have lost your respect. I will try to get it back.

I agree that Nukes don't work on terrorists. Terrorists have no nation so there is nothing to hit. As for getting rid of the Nukes. Suppose the U.S. got rid of our nukes? How would North Korea react? Iran? Think about it, if the U.S. has no nukes all N. Korea has to do is develope a lauch system for their nukes that could reach the U.S. and we are toast. They would be able to boss us around. "you do what we want or we blow up L.A." if have we have nukes that does work because if they were to blow up L.A. We would blow up N. Korea. I know alot of you think that U.S. is bossing everyone else around, but IMHO the leader of N. Koreo is 10 times the nut that Bush is. You don't want him to be able to boss nations around.

p.s. King Sama, that articule scares me.

As for Nuclear weapons. I wish we could get rid of them.

Should any nation have them? no Clearly the world is better off if no one has the power to destroy the planet.

Are there some nations better fit to have them than others? yes despite what you think of the U.S. imagine if Hitler had developed nukes first.

Is it wise to get rid of them while our enemies have them? no because our enemies would take advantage of us weakening ourselves.

As for the U.S. dropping Nuclear bombs on Japan in WWII. This is the reasoning that went into it. From the America's point of view Japan was not going to surender, they were going to fight to the last man and an invasion of Japan mainland would have meant many, many casualties on both sides. The use of the nukes got them to surrender much earlier(I know some say that Japan was ready to surrender but I don't know enough about those rumors/conspiracies to comment). The world in the WWII era were used to death and destuction so I don't think the idea of what these weapons would do had as much of an impact on them as it would on us. I also think people were sick and tired of the war and wanted it over asap, and the nukes did that. I'm not trying to justify it but that is the reasoning.

The ironic thing of about Nuclear Weapons is that by somtimes they prevent wars. Think about it, why is it that the cold war btw the USSR and the USA never became a full blown hot war? Because each side knew that if they went to war it, it would only end it one way by both sides firing their nukes and destroying both nations. There was no way a either side could win a war against the other and to go war with the other was to commit suicide. If the nukes weren't there, each side might have been more temped to go to war because there would have a chance of victory. I am not saying that that justifies the existence of these terrible devices but it is ironic.

thought I'd revive this thread for a little while because of the baseball playoffs. how bout them Redsoxs? The 1st team to go down 3 straight in a best of seven series to come back and force a game seven! Any idea that baseball is boring ending with this series. This series has been anything but boring. IMHO.

well I'm sorry if you feel that way. I don't see how we are all as guilty as he is . To me if someone says somthing that pisses me off, I have the right to say so. I think I speak for everyone here when I say, we don't want that, and Jay would never do that. It's not his views that were the problem it is how he expressed his views.
We only offended, were rude, and insulted him after he did the same to us. I think it was self defense.

I agree that his devils advocate stance will be missed. And maybe this forum will be a little more boring without him. But if you ask me, we are better off without such an arrogant, ignorant, rude, inmature, bigoted little prick. Sorry, its just how I feel.
