License to kill is the best Bond film and Goldeneye comes a close second. It's definitely the only good Brosnan one (not his fault though - he's a good Bond, just bad films).

I think that all you guys who don't like the Dalton Bonds and think that Die another day is a good movie are all smoking crack.

Advice on how to achieve your evil plans...
Time
here's mine:

Your objective is simple: Destroy the Earth.

Your motive is a little bit more complex: Sadistic pleasure

Stage One

To begin your plan, you must first traumatize a news reporter. This will cause the world to give one another worried looks, terrified by your arrival. Who is this sadistic fiend? Where did they come from? And why do they look so good in classic black?

Stage Two

Next, you must destroy the White House. This will all be done from a hell, a mysterious place of unrivaled dark glory. Upon seeing this, the world will scream, as countless hordes of mutant race hasten to do your every bidding.

Stage Three

Finally, you must unleash your unholy weapon, bringing about the destruction of the masses. Your name shall become synonymous with fear, and no man will ever again dare call you names. Everyone will bow before your mind-boggling insanity, and the world will have no choice but to give you control of the planet.

I say even naming a new statium after a company is wrong.

I wanted the new football field to be called: Burt Bell Staduim (in honor of the Eagles 1st owner and founder)

And everyone in Philly wanted the new baseball field to be called: Ashburn Field (In honor of Richie Ashburn, the pride of the Phillies)

Lincoln Financial Field?

Citizen's Bank Ballpark??

I guarentee you that these names will be changed in less than 10 years. The staduim where the Sixers and Flyers play, in its short history, has already had its name changed due to bank mergers 3 times. 3 Times! That is just plain stupid! Just how much money do these owners need to make anyway?

Warbler, the reason why the answer couldn't be 6,3,2 is inherent in the fact that the neighbor asked for "more information". This means that the neighbor needed to weigh out between two answers that were effectively the same. Technically, any of the following could have been an answer...

36,1,1
18,2,1
9,4,1
9,2,2
6,6,1
6,3,2
4,3,3

All of these are possible because they can be multiplied together to get 36, right?

Rule out 36,1,1 because, ideally, a 36 year old daughter would not be living at home... ideally.

All of the rest of the answers, when added together, come up with distinct solutions except for two of them (38, 21, 14, 13, 13, 11, and 10, respectively). 9,2,2 and 6,6,1 both add together to come up with 13. 13 is the first two numbers on the license plate apparently and, therefore, the neighbor needed "more information" to come up with which one was correct since there were two combos that equaled 13. When the neighbor with the daughters said "the oldest daughter..." it implies that there is a single person of greater age than the other two. Therefore, it must be 9,2,2.

For everyone else, I did figure it out but it didn't seem right so I did Google it to check myself. And that is where I got the other riddle.

ahh! I get it now. thanks Bossk

The father answers that the product of their ages is 36 and, pointing to his car, adds that the sum of their ages equals the first two digits in his license plate number. After a short struggle with pen and paper the neighbor says he needs more information. He is then told that the oldest daughter loves strawberry ice cream. "Oh, now I understand," says the neighbor, who promptly comes up with the right answer. What are the ages of the three children?

why counldn't the answer to this one be '6,3,2'?

I did, I didn't like it, but its still better than License to Kill and Goldeneye. I'll rank it the 3rd worst Bond movie.

As for who would make the Better Bond Gruffudd, or Owen. Gruffudd seems to me, to be too short for the part and Owen looks the part more. But Gruffudd might still be good Bond material. I will try my best to keep an open mind.

My Favorite Bond movie: Goldfinger
2nd Favorite Dr No.

Here is how I rank the Bonds (from Best to Worst (imho) )
Sean Connery
Roger Moore
Pierce Brosnan
Timothy Dalton
George Lazenby

We will have to disagree here. License to Kill is (IMHO) the worst Bond movie of them all with Goldeneye coming in a close 2nd. To me, License to Kill began the Dark ages of the Bonds films from which they have yet to recover. License to Kill felt to me like it belonged in the Lethal Weapon series not Bond.

Brosnan, on the surface, is the ideal Bond. He looks the part, can be a tough guy or a suave and smooth guy. He's not too young, not too old. And he's the epitome of cool. But the movies he was in sucked. Plain and simple. I'd be more than willing to give him another chance if they bring in new writers, a director with his own vision, and a whole new route for Bond. I think Brosnan would have been great with a script like L2K. But alas.

On this we agree.

Maybe it is just that the part was originated by a male. I don't know, it just bothers me.

Ok, here is my take on Bond. I like the funny stuff. True perhaps it can become too silly like in Moonraker. But still I though Bond was always better when it wasn't too serious. That is why I hate Lisence to Kill. It turned Bond into a bad imitation of Dirty Harry. I agree with Bossk that the Brosnan era was the victim of bad writing. I actually think that Brosnan is better that Dalton but his era is also the victim of bad writing. To me Bond was at its best when it was humorous and light. I think its time to end the Brosnan era. I think they need to have a lot less action and more spying in the future Bond movies. In the old Bond movies Bond would sneak into the bad guy's hideout using his brain and Q's gadgets, In the latest era, he would shoot his way in. That has got to stop. I'd like to see more humor but not too much, more spying, less action, and more sophistication. And please no more opening credits with Bond being tortured in the background. One last thing, and I know this is going to sound sexist, but is anyone else bothered by a female M?

BTW, any rumors on who the next Bond will be?
