Well of course interviews don't show what Lucas is like. They only show what Lucas wants them to show. He controls them remember? I doubt we will ever see him do a real interview, where he could be grilled. Tell me Shim, have you ever meant him?

I'm sorry, you might thing it was a cool Movie, but for such a powerful actor that did "Citizen Kane", "The Third Man", "Touch of Evil", the Radio version of War Of the Worlds and other great works both on Radio and Movies, a kids cartoon movie like Transformers is a low point. No offense to Transformers, but its just for kids. And just so you know, I used to watch Transformers when I was a kid.

I must take issue with somthing Klingon_Jedi. FYI I have not yet seen the movie. Klingon_Jedi listed as one of his complaints the fact that the Aliens didn't know of our diseases. Don't blame that on this version of the movie. The bit about diseases killing the aliens(not having seen this version yet, I could be wrong) , came from the book and was repeated in every version since. Blame H.G. Wells for that, not this movie.

btw: I highly recomend the Radio version by Orson Wells

But what it means is that two people can watch the SAME MOVIE and have totally opposing opinions about it, then it's obviously not the movie that's doing it. Think about it - if the movie itself was inherently bad, then everyone would hate it.
But obviously, to one person it had relevance, it related to some experience of theirs, or maybe they just enjoyed the score. To the other person the dialogue was hokey, the actors wooden... whatever. Point being, are you seeing a pattern? It only becomes good/bad when you show it to a person because these concepts are invented by us.



Ok, find me someone that considers Howard The Duck to be as great a movie I think Casablanca is. ( for those that don't know, I believe Casablanca is the greatest movie ever made)
