this is something I would loved to do but don't know how. I tried using Conbustion 3 but the whole program was to hard to figure out.

I still hope to do this with Star Wars Japanese Collection. Even if I cleaned up a handful of spots, it would be better than what it was.

I, too wanted to give a shout out. Thanks for the dvd. It is great. The momo mixsounds great. funny thing, I heard things I havenot heard before went back to check the gout and it was there but could barely hear it. like Uncle Owen saying "We will take that red one." Cool and thanks troy

just for the record. I have emailed one or two of you guys. My name is Troy, so please don't get me mix up with his one.

I have made some request over the years and sometimes certain people may not have what I was looking for yet they were very helpful in pointing me in the direction of someone else that may have it. An it does take a little time.

Yes dark jedi, people still want theses. I love the OT. I grew up on it. It kills me to no end that we may never see a decent release of OT.
After watching the short clip on the first page of this thread of r2. I was blow away by the detail. I have not seen the dvds yet but after that, I can't wait. I know they may not be prefect but it is better than the gout.
I plan on buying the JSC laserdisc and see if I can get some one to capture it for me in the comeing months.
I wonder if it is hard to put the audio comentary from the DC on there. IMO the JSC is the best verison for Preservation effort.
So darkjedi I ask, Please do a V2. I bet it could be alot better.

Well, what I was thinking was doing something like what mebejedi is doing. Useing other fames to clean up the smearing the best I can and other things like some white spots(not all of them) useing the GOUT. I will be new to this and will take a while. I am doing it for fun, I hope the out come is good. I am going to do some test next month to see how it looks.

When Luke runs out to see if he can find R2. There are some black lines around the Lars hut. How hard could it be to erase that.

Is there any editting software that can be used to use other frames of film to get rid of that ghost crap. That is the one thing that bugs me about the new dvds. Maybe it slip pass me but ROTJ doesn't seem to have it that bad.

Want to send a message? DON'T BUY STAR WARS. Don't sign up for Hyperspace. Don't go see the 3-D movies in 2007. Don't buy the toys and sure don't buy that boxset in 2007. Hit them where it hurts.
Now I will buy the dvds on 9/12 only because I feel if we don't we may never see the orginal release ever again. I can only hope that they will.
Can you imagine how much that boxset is going to cost? You might get one new disc. Maybe 80 dollars for movies I already have.
If I find something Star Wars in a yardsale for instance, I would get it. Just aslong I am not putting any money in GL 's pocket.
When I heard the Star Wars was being releae on dvd, I was going to go out and buy the other dvds THX-1138 and AG so Iwould have all of GL movies. Not anymore.

I am just glad Lucas is releaseing them. I don't care about the covers. Bonus disc don't care for. My only hope is that these classic look better than they ever have. I know there is going to be dirt & what- not, just aslong it is better than laserdisc and looks good on a widescreen tv.

This is just me but if Lucas had killed Han Solo off in ROTJ. It would have destroyed the whole saga for me. I would have never looked back. It would have been over in 1983 for me. So I can forgive lucas for alot.

I was wondering how good does the star wars laserdisc look on large widescreen tvs? I have a Pioneer CLD D504. Is that a good player or could I do much better?
