Movie ratings were different back then though. Even Jaws was a PG.

Rocky (1976). Features intense makeout scene. PG.
Logan’s Run (1976). Features open female nudity and overt creepiness. PG.
Temple of Doom (1984). Features a guy’s heart being ripped out of his chest. PG.
Edge of Tomorrow (2014). Harmless action movie. PG-13.

"Lucasfilm currently has no plans to release the original versions of Star Wars"

It also ignores the fact that Disney threw out all of Lucas’s ideas for the sequel trilogy without a care and he was so unhappy with the results that he whined about selling Star Wars to “white slavers.”

I used to think Lucas was a comedian and did the whole stubborn bit because it was hilarious “They’re my movies and I can do what I want with them.” “Nobody likes me.” Wearing the plaid shirt. Would be hysterical if that actually were the case. Unfortunately evidence is mounting that he is serious and the SEs and the prequels were not deliberately bad.

And the song itself is 1000000000x better. That may have something to do with the fact that it was ACTUALLY COMPOSED BY JOHN WILLIAMS. The fact that Jedi Rocks was not should by itself be enough to keep it from qualifying it as Star Wars music.

I don’t think Lapti Nek is so bad at all. It’s John Williams writing 80s music. I think it’s hilarious and appropriate for Jabba’s palace.

Big fan of Jedi Rocks, I see.

Nah, not a fan of it at all. It is just that the original scene is about as embarrassing as the new one. So I don’t care which one I have to endure.

I disagree in this case. Yeah, Lapti Nek is cheesy, but in a sleazy 80’s way that’s easy to forgive, and fits in well with the atmosphere of Jabba’s palace. Jedi Rocks is cheesy in an uncomfortable 90’s way. I feel embarrassed every time I see it.

In addition to adding a sleazy atmosphere, which you noted, Lapti Nek was written by John Williams. The new one was not if I recall correctly. Also Lapti Nek is consistent with the 80s, and like it or not, ROTJ is an 80s film.

What was your first reaction to Vader's "Noooo" in ROTJ?
Time

My first reaction was, in addition to the obvious (complete butchery of a classic), what disrespect to John Williams. He wrote the music without that line in mind. He climaxed the music over that piece of footage. They just ruined his entire musical sequence by dubbing “Noooooo” over it.

It showed a basic lack of understanding with regards to filmmaking.

It’s better, I think, for myself at least, not to feeling any emotion than feel what I had have been nearly a month now.

I did mention needing a drink earlier in my post, but I could never become an alcoholic because alcohol quite honestly makes me emotional and I should probably stay away from anything that does this.

Besides, I would be looking for something to suppress what I’m feeling, not bring them center stage.

I think women who have feelings are hot
