Well we’re getting the theatrical cut of the first movie in 4k. Also Supergirl is out on bluray today. All nice additions, but I still want the extended cuts of 2-4 in at least 1080P.

Why would we want a re-release of blu-rays most of us will already have? Buying 3 cuts of the movie again to get some new features would be a let down for me. For the 40th anniversary I would want something really special, which at this point would have to be Superman 2 related. since the last grail release for Superman the movie already came out this year.
Complete 4K remaster would be nice.
Are the Kingdom Hearts games worth playing? I can remember playing Kingdom Hearts 2 at a friend’s place over a decade ago but never being able to get into it.

I held strong and didn’t buy anything this year. Too many unplayed games in my library to justify further purchases.
Second. Too many games which are unplayed and don’t need to buy more.
I wonder if the Wachowskis and the DP will be doing the same for the sequels regarding UHD. I thought Enter THE MATRIX and THE MATRIX: Path of Neo were more enjoyable than the sequels.
This project would make for an interesting disc to put with the UHD release.
According to this, the Chris Columbus Indy 3 script is really bad. That won’t deter me, though. Not listening to the podcast because of spoilers.
It’s entertaining but meanders with different ideas. Would possibly be better as a video game.
I think the remastered 1080p Blu-ray in the UHD package is considered very accurate color-wise to the theatrical version, and it’s a better transfer on top of that, too. The UHD disc itself, though, is less color-accurate.
I bet the HDR on the UHD throws off the accurate color timing. At least it isn’t the older BD with the UHD release.
I’ve found the the second version of it on Share-Online. 24.22 GB, 50 parts, all up. However, without a premium account it takes ages to download it.

Alright, got it (again).
For anyone interested: don’t expect too much though. It looks different, but the scan result is far from being perfect as others already stated due to severe black crush and blown highlights which render the dirt and scratches being the least of a problem. Might be interesting as color reference source but overall I’d claim that both the DVD and BD are far superior until we get a copy of the 35mm in better shape.
What about the UHD?
The GKids ones are a damn good price (around $12 each on Amazon depending on how much stock is in) and are Blu-Ray/DVD combos. Plus, like I said, all of them come with fixed English subtitles for the Japanese audio track that actually translates the Japanese dialogue rather than being based on the English dubbed version, which was a huge selling point to me.
Agreed. This release is great and the Disney/Buena Vista release shouldn’t be the go to anymore. The GKIDS/Shout Factory releases are miles better in image quality for all titles which were also released by Buena Vista. Only Buena Vista release to get is The Wind Rises. The rest ought to be GKIDS, where applicable.

Actually not all of them are gone. We’ve still got mediafire.com anyways, and that’s a very trustworthy file sharing site. I use it all the time.
Would love to hear the Streamline dub for Kiki’s Delivery Service, so I can compare it with the Disney version that I grew up on.
