Did any of you ever pic up that other Manga magazine over here in the states, Raijin comics?

It had much more mature stories and was, from my understanding, relatively untouched in the wording department compared to the original
(besides translating it).

Too bad they cancelled the publication around May of last year, just as I was getting into it.

Besides, with my Resident Evil skin on my GCN, I think it looks a hell of a lot more spiffy than a drab PS2.

Specs don't always sell a system either.

The PS2 was leagues behind the GCN in processor speed and graphical power and the GCN was just shy of the power of the XBOX, but the PS2 was #1, the XBOX #2, and GCN was #3.

Anyway, in reference to the *original* topic, I'm 17 and I grew up watching the SE's.

I had only seen the OOT a year before the SE's came out with the "faces" boxset, so I didn't have the 19+ years experience with them as some of you had, but after the "new car smell" so to speak faded from the SE's, I realized that they were just revisionist crap and that most of the scenes were redundant and pointless.

When the Prequels came along 3 years later they just didn't have the feel or the "soul" that I found in every movie of the OOT, I don't think they are the finest movies in the world but I am not a Prequel-hater.

Well, you said you had the Star Cases? I heard they were going for hundreds of dollars (even one for 2000) themselves on Ebay, so I'd say the 35 a piece wasn't all bad for them.

I had it on my DVR and didn't get to watch it until today, and I loved it.

It just goes to show that sometimes you can bring back a show and not have it be a flop.

Chances are that those deleted scenes will be integrated with the main movie without an option to not show them like the last two Prequel DVD releases.

I wouldn't go so far as to call an animal "soul-less," they might not be able to think at such a relatively high-level that humans (most of them) do, but that in no way justifies depriving them of a being.

Meh, I thought the Finale could have been great if only they had done some more editing and edited out the whole Riker/Troi subplot.

If I wanted to see Riker or Troi I could watch TNG.

When I want to see the story of Archer and the NX-01, I watch Enterprise.

For an earlier episode, the backstory may have been a nice touch, maybe, but for the finale? I wanted a totally 22nd century, NX-01 crew story for that.
