Has anyone played Silent Hunter III? Thoughts?

Its a relatively new Submarine Simulation game, I've heard some good reviews about it, but I've learned to take them with an industrial sized bag of salt.

After that immature and retarded X-Play review, I'm not touching that game with a 10 foot pole.

Besides, any time I buy a PC game it's wasted money. I never play anything on PC.

Huh? They gave it a 4.

The score was good, but the review with all the "Seamen" jokes and the stupid "Animation" segments was idiotic.

I don't know what the deal is with those Animation segments, it must be that they *have* to be more immature than before under contract to G4 or something.

God I miss the TechTV days and I'm sure they do too.

Almost every classic film could and would be considered by today's society to be slow films.

Its almost a reflection of the eras in which they were made.

Back in the Golden Era it wasn't uncommon for people to spend the whole day in movie theaters, and, it might be just Nostalgia talking, but people just had more patience then to sit down and watch a movie, and enjoy it and not be up and ready to get on with their lives like in our Drive Thru and Wal-Mart society of today or sit around and critique miniscule details of a film.

I mean, the Golden Era was anything but Golden, what with The Depression and WWII. But what made the people different then was that they took all of that in stride and moved along, not like today where even the smallest mishap will end up in much whining and bikering and the eventual suing of one party for no apparent reason.

Thats what made it Golden, that the people endured the hardships to pave the way for a better future and did the best they could in bad times.

PS: Sorry if my rants make no sense, I just have alot to say and just can't compress all of my thoughts into words.

I could be alone here, but I'm only interested in the making of the films and all of the related adverts, commercials etc.., and not too keen on the parodies.

Not to rain on the parade or anything...

That is where I stand as well, all I really want are the "making of..."s and things directly related to the films.

Of course, Parodies could be their own project, and maybe you could set it up like some of the compilations Rikter did with the online fan films(the exact name of the project escapes me at the moment).

I dunno about full episodes of South Park, I mean, everything that is going on the disc as far as I can tell is really not available anymore commercially like South Park, as is the case with the original version of Star Wars (which this site is all about).

*shrugs* Besides, you'll have to either compress the video so much that it won't look so hot or multiply the number of discs you're planning on the finished product to be.

Okay, I saw it and I must say, its the best batman flick, well, ever.

Batman's character was handled perfectly in my opinion and all of the actors performed past all of my expectations, especially Bale.

Bale has gotten Batman's voice down to a T, he must have definitely taken a cue from the way Kevin Conroy delivered the lines.

It may seem a little over the top at first, but thats the point: Batman thrives on theatrics that put fear into the hearts of criminals.

The same people that would probably hate Casablanca or The Big Sleep because "Aw, I don't like black and white movies."

I hate those kind of people, that don't give a movie a chance because its black and white and have never seen classic films but will flock to crap like Titanic and say "Oh, its among the hollywood classics."
