That happened to me in HL2, I was wondering around Ravenholm for like 20 minutes trying to figure out what to do, turns out the switch to some crane with a jumping block attached was obscured by some damn crates.

Which reminds me, I hate wooden crates. I've never actually ever seen a wooden crate in real life anywhere,why are there so damn many in video games.
