This is a thread designed to compile a list of movies deemed the “essentials,” for novice film buffs or weathered veterans to discover something new or help those just starting out.

The Essentials, in my definition, are films that anyone and everyone who proclaims themselves to be movie-buffs, or even people that aren’t particularily interested in film must see. Films that truly show the deepest meaning that the medium can convey, or just raw, pure, unaldulterated entertainment.

Give me your thoughts.

And yes, I blatently ripped off of TCM.

If you want to see more of Gruffudd, see if you can find the A&E Hornblower series. One of the best TV mini-series I've seen(although the SFX could have used some more work).

Like I said earlier in this thread, I've been following Ioan Gruffudd for a while now and I think he is a great actor, and I believe even Bond material.

I just cannot see Clive Owen in the part like you guys can.

And yes, LTK is my second favorite Bond film.

Concerning the Lokitorrent logs, I read somewhere that these logs that were turned over to the MPAA actually contained virtually nothing that could incriminate someone. It showed an IP and it showed that you downloaded a *.T0RRENT. You're not breaking laws for downloading a torrent and they cannot prove that you downloaded copyrighted material.

Regarding myspleen: it is basically a repository for television shows, usually ones that aren't on the air anymore. To use the hackneyed argument, threatening legal action against them is like declaring VCRs illegal.

Its actually because of the ridiculously small and hard D-Pad on the GCN controller, which is arguably the more precise and accurate method of playing console fighting games(or at least my preferred).

Edit: But I do agree with chaltab, the GCN controller is perfect for Soul Calibur 2.

The GCN controller isn't very good for fighting games though.
