Maybe they thought that the instrument panel just looked too much like it wasn't really part of the falcon and was just a set, you have to admit that the panel that was cut off was kinda funky.

Thats exactly what I was thinking when I heard it.

One of the songs, Grievous' theme I believe, sounded exactly like the fight theme from the Star Trek episode Amok Time.
