Am I the only one who finds this incredibly depressing?  Oh, how I long for a good old fashioned sci-fi movie that makes use of models, practical effects, matt paintings, stop-mo animation, puppetry, etc, instead of soleless CGI.....

 Well if you want a sci-fi epic that uses models, animatronic masks, puppetry, and enormous moving sets in addition to CGI, let me reccomend the PT.

Didn't get to play.

My wife was doing this Flash Mob thing Saturday, which instead of 3 hours took almost 10, so I had both babies.

Sunday I sat down to install it and give TOR a whirl, but it needs some kind of dual core processor or something, and by the time I could get all that figured out and working, I'd only have about 90 min to play.

Stupid world. :(

Poor Dave came to us fleeing persecution, much like my mother's people fled Eastern Europe in the 30s.

While my mother's people were fleeing something bad, I forget what, Dave was fleeing the PC Police at TFN. He came here seaking his inalienable right to say "effeminate" "faggy" and "cunty" without fear of repurcussions, or even disagreement.

And while my mother's people couldn't join country clubs, Davey had it worse. Instead of being embraced with a warm hug and a chorus of "yeah, Dave filloni is kinda girly, let's talk about that ad nauseum" he was ruthlessly bullied and driven away. But his bravery will not be forgotten.

Eternal shame on the OT.com family for what we have done. Let this be on our heads, and our children's heads.

While I didn't read what you said on TFN that got you banned, I do notice a wide group that conflates rudeness and thoughlessness with bravery.

Very mixed feelings.

ALL SORTS OF SPOILERS I GUESS.

Well, this is a sequal to KOTOR and some kind of predessessor to SW:TOR MMORPG. Left me a bit confused and adrift.

It starts off explaining what happened between KOTOR 1 and 2. How Canderous became Mandalore and why Revan left. Good to know... but a little on the slow side.

We jump back and forth to the Sith Empire, which I found a tad dull. Evil Sith backstabbing eachother doesn't generally interest me. It wasn't until they started to get into THE SITH EMPEROR that I got onboard. Dude is a pretty twisted villain.

Two things I disliked:

That Revan was mindcontrolled to be bad back before KOTOR 1. That makes his redemption kind of meaningless.

The climax has a moment I just can't stand. "I see the future and I need to arbitrarily do something because of it! Trust me!" This is the same trick they used to make Jacen Solo turn Sithy, and it sucked then too.

In the end, not bad. Made me kinda want to play SW:TOR, but I wont. Maybe watch some cut scenes on YouTube or something.
