Replace all the lightsaber sounds and blades with the original unedited footage, but keep everything else as is.

A work-in-progress reconstruction of the Rex Dart: Eskimo Spy segment of the Godzilla vs. Megalon episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000.

(don’t worry, I already have this incredibly rare DVD set.)

Goals:

• Upgrade video to 2022 standards (at least 1080p)
• Keep the original 4:3 aspect ratio intact (with accurate framing)
• Restore the glaring blue tint present over the segment
• Make an alternate “Purist” version with no reframing or rebluing

This will be the easiest thing I’ve ever done

Thanks! You see, I don’t usually pay attention to the credits unless I’m torn on who’s playing one character or another, so I knew there were others, they just weren’t coming to mind.
