Yes, in a “thou shalt not be named with threat of banishment” sort of way.

Yeah, you can PM the final products as MEGA links to me so I can upload them on the Spleen.

By the way, which resolution will you do it on?

We should do 1080p, 720p and 480p MKVs. And the 1080p and 720p versions should be Blu-ray compliant.

I think other people should do their own Blu-ray, AVCHD and/or DVD versions and I will just supply the MKVs.

Sorry, but uploading Spleen material outside of the Spleen is not allowed unless the uploader approves.

I would’ve given you an invite if I had one but I don’t have any invites since I am not a power user. Try requesting HanDuet for this.

Anyways, Star Wars isn’t the only thing you will find on the Spleen. I also found some other interesting stuff there (mostly '90s TV). I downloaded the complete series of Clarissa Explains It All and burned it on DVD on my first moments in the Spleen alongside downloading the Despecialized Editions.

I’ve been busy with other things, but plan on releasing something for Halloween.

If you wanted to help with something that doesn’t need much PC horsepower, could you get a copy of the soundtrack for ACBC and create a lossless rip of it?

Already PM’ed you the link to my SACDRip of the A Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack.

Also, where will you upload the final products?

Okay, my download of the SACD-R torrent is finished.

The only problem is, how to rip it, and in what format?

Your best bet is foobar2000 with the Super Audio CD Decoder plugin installed. As for format, the best is FLAC. But make sure that you rip at 176,4 kHz and downsample to 96 kHz. PM me if you have any questions.

Yeah, but how do I convert it to FLAC?

I already have foobar2000 but I don’t know how to convert it?

Step 1: drop the SACD-R .iso file in foobar.
Step 2: highlight all tracks.
Step 3: right-click on the highlighted tracks.
Step 4: from the right-click menu, go down to Convert, wait for a second menu and choose the option with three dots.
Step 5: in Converter Setup, click on Output format and choose FLAC.

Yeah, but it only converts in 24-bit/44.1khz.

Press Ctrl+C on your keyboard for preferences, go to Tools, then click on SACD and you’ll see something called PCM Samplerate. Your best best is choosing 176.4 kHz and in Converter Setup, click on processing, choose the resampler DSP, click on Configure selected and set the target rate at 96 kHz.

Okay, thanks for the info.

I found some Hi-Res FLACs of A Charlie Brown Christmas on RuTracker.

The many Hi-Res available include an SACD-R of the 2003 remaster and two FLAC versions of the 2011 remaster from HDTracks, one which is 24-bit/96khz and another one which is 24-bit/192khz.

I’ll get them while they’re hot if I were you as they all have only one seed each now.

I would recommend getting the SACD-R 2003 version as that might be the best version available.

I will download it and seed it for you as well.

I also have a suggestion to make a lossless version (either DTS-HD Master Audio or LPCM) of the isolated score for each movie.

It can really please the audiophiles who want to watch the movie with the isolated score and don’t want it to be in plain lossy Dolby Digital.

Already there

Where?
It’s still plain Dolby Digital in this project.
Can you give me some info on this?

Okay.

But I have an even better idea.

How about an audio commentary by Harmy for each movie, detailing the changes in the Special Edition and how Harmy restored each scene to it’s original state as well as the sources of each scene.

It would be interesting to know how each scene was Despecialized while watching the movie.

Just checked, I just knew by now that Return of the Pug hasn’t been released yet.

When Return of the Pug is released, I think we should add the mono sound from that version.

Just so the Original Trilogy is finally complete in mono.

One of the main reasons I want a mono mix for ROTJ is because I was weirded out by the fact that SW and TESB both have mono mixes while ROTJ doesn’t.

Are you also weirded out by Nosferatu being available as a silent movie and Dracula Untold only being sold with sound?

Hahaha. No.

But maybe our best bet is just to wait for Return of the Pug.

I think this mono mix should be included for 3.0 but maybe we can also add an optional MKA pack if we get Return of the Pug before 3.0.

The thing about that is that as far as we can tell, the 16mm ROTJ mono is just a fold-down of the stereo mix and not a distinct soundmix.

Well, most likely.

But isn’t the 16mm TESB mono mix also just a fold-down of the stereo mix?

I think we should get the Return of the Pug 16mm mix so the entire trilogy can be in mono.

And even though stereo and/or surround is technically superior to mono, I sometimes love watching movies in mono, even if it’s a recent movie.

Anyway, what were the latest movies in mono?

I think most Filipino movies are still in mono, even to this very day, according to my Filipino friends.

Also, The Wind Rises, which was the very last film by Hayao Miyazaki, was in mono.

I think a 16mm mono DTS-HD Master Audio mix for ROTJ would be really great.

Puggo has one in Return of the Pug but I am not sure how to get it since I don’t have a MySpleen account.

I really want one and I am sure there are also many other fans who want to watch the entire Original Trilogy in glorious mono.

And ROTJ is the only one without a mono mix.

I think a simple MKA with the mono mix for ROTJ which can easily be muxed to the current version (2.5 as of writing) is a practical compromise since you don’t have to upload the entire MKV again with no change but a new mono mix and it can be a nice thing while we patiently wait for 3.0.

If that is not possible, I really wish that 3.0 will have the mono mix.

Oh my… Looks like I’m picking up the Emmy Honored Collection… Looks like the colors are less blown out, and man that single solitary Flashbeagle clip looks SO GOOD! (Sorry, I’m biased. Been a fan of Flashbeagle for years.)

Even better for you, there is a bundle with A Charlie Brown Christmas, It’s Christmastime Again, Charlie Brown and It’s Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown on iTunes, all in HD. Even if Flashbeagle wasn’t in the A Charlie Brown Christmas Blu-ray.
