yeah i remember that, man now that i think about it i had some really heated fights with people on this site, and so many of them arent here anymore. denialB oh man i remember my evolution debate with him, he pissed me off so much there, and then there was the guy we had a big arguement about what was bad in the PT the guy was being so damn critical its not even funny, what was funny was when me and trooper(ST3K) systematically distroyed his arguement, cause it was so stupid and ran him off the site. haha that guy was getting in fights with everyone at that time too.

ahh and then there was good old nile she was priceless

see thats the one small problem i had with this movie. the screen-play could have used so much work. there were so man instances where they could have added a line or changed a line a little to give a bunch of back story. you guys all pointed out little tidbits that could have been done like the 1000 gallon prise, nevelles parents and so on. on that jsut kinda go me was in that very last scene when barty jr was cornered, and everyone was jsut leaving the room snape is looking down on him and talking. snape could have so easily have said something like, "I expect the dementors will be giving you a kiss when they see you again". indicating that barty was dead. rather the just sayin "back to askaban to for you."

but yeah that was my only beef, its going to be interesting seeing how they do all this stuff now though cause the coming books are starting to rely highly on stuff that has been developed in the previous books, e.g. the nevelle story line is going to be very key at the of the books.

And yet they will probably be allowed to read "Catcher in the Rye" in freshman or sophomore year in high school (like I was required to do for English class). I kinda find that funny.

Dont get me wrong, I love LOTR, but I find Potter to be much better written in the sense of a compelling story told in an exciting fashion, and its a lot more modern and thoughtful then RIngs and its christian overtones and and racist undertones. A product of its time and place, I won't hold that against the dear professor, but it doesn't change the fact.

Either way, His Dark Materials is waaaaaay better then both Potter and Rings

seriously guys any country to ever use a nuke would not servive the consiquiences. and so by using a nuke you lose all word credibility, and susport, no leader would ever try to do this cause it would be like commitin suicide. right now the one real use of a nuke is symbolic. the only fear you could have of a nuclear attack is if it was conducted by a terrorist, in which case people in all of the major US cities should be worried and so would all the people in hte major cities of the major western countries.
