no don't ask her to hang out, that is wayy to casual, it's not really a date thing. ask her to go see a movie (although it may sound bad for you, suggest a girl one that you know she would want to see, unless she is actually into the action flicks). movie is prob the best first date. cuz you get some chatting before the movie, sit and watch the movie, and then chat after. its not as bad as going for coffee and just talking the entire time and dealing with any awkward pauses or something. and then with the movie date, if things went really well THEN go for coffee. i personally like the movie-as-first-date thing. unless i already kinda know the person.

yeah thats a really good plan i can say from experience it works out well

i donno if its quite that way HLF, usually girls will get married around the age of 23 or 24 and looking for serious relationships at that age, where as guys at that age still want to party it up. you could call it the difference in maturity, girl mature faster then guys. for guys they want to get married at like 26- 30 age range, and so its just a matching maturity levels. i think your partially right though, 24 to 18 is bad, but 24 - 20 wouldnt be that bad. i still wouldnt look down on people that go that far, 30 - 20 i would though or something along those lines.

I believe in the "One half plus seven" rule, because math never lies.

Take your age, divide by two, and add seven. If the object of your affection is younger than that, then he or she is too young.

As an example, we'll take my age, 23. Divide by two, and you get 12 (I round up). Add seven, and you end up with a final of 19. I'm 23, and I shouldn't date younger than 19. Well, in this case, 18 and a half would be fine, but I'd consider a girl who just turned 18 to be a little young for me.

This equation works well, in my opinion. At younger ages, it stops you from dating too young (eg, if you're 17, you shouldn't date younger than 15 and a half), while at older ages, it allows greater range (a 40 year old could date as young as 27). I think it keeps things in reasonable range. Also, it means that you shouldn't be dating if you're younger than 14.

Math is good like that.

wow thats actually a great formula, i am going to use it.
