You're right, we don't own them or the Star Wars universe. He can do whatever he wants with his own work. But where would he be without the original fans of the orignal trilogy. We supported him, his movies, merchandise etc. through out the years, pre-prequels and Special Edtions. He knows how beloved the OT is, people grew up with these films and there is a lot of deep rooted nostalgia with them. I do think it's also a respect issue, out of respect for your fans and their full support for you over the years give them this small peice of the pie. If he doesn't have the ethics or enough respect for his fans to release the foundation of his great empire ... so be it, I don't have to respect him or his personal decisions.

Most importanly, I want these movies perserved on the newest format of technology. George Lucas said they're on VHS if anyone wants them. Gee, thanks George, I so want to watch the grandiose Star Wars on my old VCR and grainy, full screen VHS tape. Besides which, these tapes will only last so long, mine are already worn out.


i know i know i agree with u on most of your counts. i am truely at a loss for why lucas hasnt released them, it just makes good sense. he shouldrelease them. and you right he wont remake the OT with new actors, i just wanted to see what people would do if he did

hey yeah i have done multi media work on both platforms windows and apple, and i have to say even thou i use a windows that apple is much better.the computer you haave there is great though, its a good find.

as for camera what kind of pictures you plan to take. cause if u want really good professional stuff your going to need to go over a 1000, but if its just for everyday stuff i would recomment a camera that is 3 or 4 mega pixels. and if u look in the right place you should find some good ones that are around 3 or 400 dollars. what i have found with cameras is either u go all out and get a really good one, or you just go for and average one that is around 300 dollars or less. i'm not an expert but i dont think that you'll find that much of a difference between a 300 camera and a 600 camera. dont get 5 mega pixels i find that they just waste memory you find your pics will be like a megabyte each and if you want to share them with people you'll need to condense them for file transfer. you'll want to spend your money on a big memory card so you can take lots of pictures and store them.

i jsut finished my first year and last year this exact time i was doing the same thing as you. the camera i got was a really cheap 2 megapixel one, and i have been really pleased with that one so far.

thats why this site is here to try and convince him. but saying that everything he is doing right now is bad will not make him change his mind, if anything he will think, 'i not going to release them just to spite them, they think they can tell me how to write and how to make my movies well screw them.'

tell me what is bad about doing that. nothing seems bad to me thats why i think its a promising idea. your right i shouldnt call is good yet cause i havent seen it.

if he had heard of an idea thats bad and he was making his call off that then it would be a different story. but he is call it blind.

you know what i have been on this forum since the begining, or almost its begining i joined a couple months after it started so dont start lecturing me about subtily in my entire time here you are the first poster out of hundreds thats been this crazy. even the webmaster who you would think might be all against the PT or against changing things. isnt as much as you.

this forum is about getting the originals on DVD NOT being opposed to the changes GL makes to HIS movies.

your comments are just idoitic when it comes down to it. like i said if you feel you own the trilogy, being a fan, then you need to get some help.

its your entertainment not your belonging. there is a very clear difference. and you bring up the biggest problem its the people devoting there heart and soul to a peice of entertainment. dont you think thats bad. there are other things in life that deserve peoples heart and soul. you know that guy, I for get his name but he posted that comment about there being 2 types of fans and everybody is getting mad at him about it. this is what he was talking about. people shouldnt be doing that they should be puting that much emotion into there job or there family or into there comunity, not into a peice of fantasy something some one made up. but thats besides the point. what i am trying to say is that people shouldnt put that much emotion into them, the fact is that they do and that is the release they feel the way the do right now. its also the reason why no matter what lucas does to the films, whether he makes new ones or makes changes, they will always be hated by the hardcore fans.

some of your ideas seem sound but i think if you do some more reading and look into the movies more you'll see that alot of them dont work. yoda and pali for one they dont mesh and yoda would know pali jsut through the force in the PT if that did happen. the idea that the DL created pali seems cool thou, i have always wondered how papli being so strong int he force could have esaped the eyes of the republic, and be found by the dark lord, after all he is yodas equal so what are the odds. as for han being a jedi it just dont work cause han is force blind he couldnt sense the broad side of a barn.

i saw EP 3 for the second time today and i noticed somethings about it so ill answer some questions people have had.

the first thing i noticed was the complant about leia remembering her mother. This is simple the mother that she remembered was not padme, she must have remembered oragnas wife. thats doesnt fit why didnt lucas just have padme live and go and stay on alderaan. well its simple if padme had lived she would have wanted to hide, why would she hide by becoming the queen of aldreean. its funny cause in this case its the info in the OT that is contradicting itself cause in the OT shes sayd her mom was really sad and all which makes you think its padme, but if your Darth Vaders wife why would you hide on a major planet. and have your daughter become so important inthe the senate and so on.

Anakins turn was only part way. after watching the movie a second time and listening to the dialouge i think anakin thought that he could kill pali and so he was going to use pali until learned the power to help padme. after that he would have ride the galaxy of the sith, so at first it was an act but after padme died anakin had nothing, so he turned. that also explains why pali told ani that he had killed her. it would have made anikin doubt himself, since ani was a good person he would have thought 'if i could kill the one i love the most i shouldnt take power because i could kill the galaxy'. even after in the OT Vader always seemed like he had honor to him and that he was good even if he was evil and so he didnt seem like he would do that.

pali and darth plegus, i think darth plegus was palis master, and that whole theory of pali creating anakin is bunk because pali says int he movie, we will rediscover that power. so either anakin was created by pleagus or he was really made by the force.

That was uncalled for. He attacked the considered changes, not you. He has the right to think more changes to the OT will be crap. I predict this as well. I wish Lucas would just leave the OT alone. of all the changes that lucas made to the OT how many of them were actually bad. only a couple of them; the han thing and the ewok music. the cleaning up and the extra CGI was great. and if you think adding scenes like showing the senate being dissolved are a bad idea then i dont know what to say.

and whats crap is i doubt if he knows what kind of changes lucas will make even i dont know, the rumored scenes seem to really make sense. so calling them crap is an ingnorant statement.

as for your statments aobut changing things in the PT what do you want him to change, obvisously he made those after he made the OT and so everything that he wanted to incorperated in them that had to do with the OT is there, things like the DS in ATOC. the OT on the other hand was made before he knew exactly what the PT was, inorder to make a fully balanced saga things will need to be changed in the OT simplely because they were not made witht he PT in mind where as the PT was made with the OT in mind. you never know too in the 2007 release he might add a bunch of stuff to the PT to improve the continueity.
