how long does it take to train a jedi?

yes i agree. and you guys kinda stated my point yoda and obiwan only taugh luke what he need to face the emperor. known of the other stuff. i am mostly the logic and what is right and wrong doctorine, notice how whenever luke asks how do i knwo the dark side, yoda says you will feel it. i often think that anakins failed training and his arrogance was caused by the jedi temple and all of the strick teachings he had.

anakin was the choosen one and it still took him 12 years

my whole idea behind it was the yoda skipped the long jedi training and taught luke 2 two things to be a jedi. He taught him how to fight, and taught him about hte darkside. luke didnt get all of the morals behind hte force, and the history. known of the logic training and so on. i think yoda left luke to figure all that out himself.

and to warbler, he still beat anakin in the duel, which is really impressive considering that asides from mace obiwan and yoda i dont think any jedi could have beat him. also obiwan beating him was anakins own stupidity. i dont think obiwan could have ever beaten vader. so its really impressive that a 2 year old jedi with only maybe at most couple months of direct training from a jedi master could have done what he did.

hey guys i am just curious to know how this works. in the old republic it took a life took like 10 - 15 years to train a jedi then another 10-15 years if your good to become a master. In the OT luke goes from nothing to being able to take on the choosen one and pali(who yoda couldnt beat) in a matter of years. i personally find the PT time frame alot easier to believe just because it takes years in real life to learn things liek combat skills, and mental disipline. what you guys think. the EU also follows the same time frame of the PT its only in the OT that jedi are trained so quickly. i have got my theory about it i jsut want to see what people say first.

Fans Own The Trilogy you are not a fan.

You are an Episodes 4 - 6 Fan Boy.

This is a pretty ridiculous statement. You don't have to like all of the works in a volume to be a fan. Take, for example, the Beatles. I'm just not that fond of Let It Be. Just doesn't really do anything for me. I love Please Please Me, Meet the Beatles, Rubber Soul, Sgt Pepper and all the rest, but just not really Let It Be. That mean's I'm not a Beatles fan? Hell no it doesn't, it just means that of all of their output, I would prefer to listen to Let It Be the least.

That being said, I would like to point out that I am a fan of the entire Star Wars series, both the old and the new, albeit two of the new ones hold the bottom two spots on my list. I merely had to point out how nonsensical your statement regarding "fandom" is.

yeah but if you depise half of them because they are not like the other half well i wouldnt call you a fan either. i would say that you were a fan of the OT not of starwars. there is a difference between dislikeing one or 2 film and hating half of them.

After seeing all three of the new movies Episode I was the best.

Keep in mind that is my opinion of this travesty known as the prequels and I want you to know I judge that based on it being the most OT like of the three new films.

That is all

so you didnt like them because they were not like the ot. hmm well... ok if thats how you feel then thats how you feel. i dont agree with you but whatever. we'll leave it at that.
