But that's not really the point, is it. There's not really any excuse for wishing anyone dead at any time. Especially over something as ultimately minor as a movie. Whether said in jest or "frustration" or not. the fact someone would get THAT frustrated as to wish someone's death over it is entirely more disturbing than either someone saying "I like the SE's better than the originals." or "I re-edited all the movies to better fit my personal vision."

There's something wrong with that, and something wrong with making excuses for it. It doesn't fit on a board where the posters seem to take great pride in how different they are from other websites. If you guys think you're better than that, (and it's obvious most of you do) you really need to BE better than that instead of writing off and making excuses for some of the dumbest shit said on a Star Wars board.

hey guys just trying a little dry humor to lighten the mood. the bizzle your 100% right i very often find myself telling people off for doing such things, bashing th movies for now reason sayin lucas should die and by far the most annoying comment calling him lucASS. now that just annoy's the hell out of me if you trying to convince a man to do something for you i.e. release the OT DVD its usually not a good plan to be calling him names wishing death on him and bashing his other works with no commenting or proof, i.e. by simply saying the movies have too much CG and they suck cause of it. not taking the time to explain why too much CG messes with the movie, or where CG is bad in the movie is a common thing on this sites has almost driven me off for good. examples and ideas are key and its annoying and disrespectfully when you get neither. i say almost because there have been times whern i just stopped all out posting in the SW section, and hte only place i would post is off topic cause some of the people were cool(bossk, gundark, dayv to just name a few), and the idoits that post like i describe dont go into the off topis section. BUT heres the think your on a site that prides itself for the OT quite obviously your going to have PT haters and OT lovers galor, and such is the case. there nothing you can do about it.

on a side i often find it very ironic that i am in the top 3 posters on the site when, it took me like 10 months to sign the petition cause i was too lazy, and also i dont really like the SW movies that much. neither hte PT nor the OT where that amazing overall i found they both had huge errors interms of story telling and effects, the OT was a little better then the PT but still as it goes they are not in my top 5 or top 10 favorite movies. well maybe ESB and ROTS are in the top 10 but the others were just average or sub average movies. i am a fan of the books specifically the NJO.


also want to add its mostly people that just lerk and then post later that claim that OT.com is great. the top posters never say things like that unless they are refering to eachother, so you cant exactly say we pride ourselve on it, its more like outside praise
