*** The Official DigitalFreakNYC Release Thread*** (SW, Indy + Others!)
Time
Wow. That sounds like a lot of great stuff! Many of these I've been hoping for but never heard mentioned by the guys that usually do this like The Making of E.T. and the Dracula Criterion. I'm also especially looking forward to your Indy stuff as well as the Seven and The Game Criterion LD transfers. Best of luck with all these!

I'm sure this is old, but HOW do you download torrents?
Time
I'm using BitComet and have recently noticed that after I complete downloading, I have trouble seeding files. Occasionally, it'll upload but most of the time, the torrent is stuck on "Connecting" status even though I didn't have any connection issues while downloading and am simultaneously downloading a separate torrent from the same tracker. Anyone know the problem?

Info: The Frighteners - Signature Collection laserdisc preservation thread
Time
Well, the site is rather vague on the SE and there have been many times when news of a DVD release pops up on one of these foreign sites but never comes out. The site says it's yet to be confirmed and there hasn't been any news of an SE from any other site. And even if it is two discs, Universal seems to be a studio that likes to skimp out on 2-disc sets. They'll load the first disc with extras so the second disc can be a DVD-5 with only an hour or two of content. This release pattern from Universal would suggest they're more than likely to edit the documentary into smaller pieces than give us the full four and a half hour documentary that would be hard to fit on a DVD-9 anyway. I'd wait for an official announcement before stopping work on this.

Info & Help: looking for... other ld-rips to dvd movies ex. blade runner int cut, songs of the south, frighteners dir cut - and much much more...

In regards to all these Criterion Laserdiscs, I'd love to see some of the commentaries ripped and maybe posted as mp3 or whatever files. Many of these tracks never made it to DVD because Criterion no longer has the rights to release them. It's a shame to know that many of these commentaries will die on laserdisc. Even posting them as mp3 files can give people the chance to sync them up to their DVD's and listen to them much like the fan commentaries you can find on the web.

The "ADigitalMan Special Editions" DVD Info and Feedback Thread (Released)
Time
I haven't seen these yet, but your versions of the prequels sound great and seem to be much more agreeable with my view of how much can be altered/edited. I never really got the hubub about the "elected Queen." It doesn't bother me in the final films and I doubt the change will get a more substantial reaction from me.

The Indiana Jones Project (Released)
Time
I share the same concerns with digitalfreaknyc about quality over quantity. When you get the docs (which are perhaps the most important thing on this to me) and if they don't fit on a single DVD, then don't feel pressured to compress them to fit. Feel free to use as many discs as you need to in order to preserve the quality of them. I can't say I care much for the parodies, but vintage interviews, tv spots, and some other tv specials (not sure exactly what you have) would be really cool to see.

Anyway, good luck with the project. I really appreciate that you're doing this since I've been hoping someone would once I saw people putting out SW related programs.

By the way, are these going to be single or dual layer discs?
