I guess the answer is that Rey must have more midichlorians.

Everything went right for Luke in Star Wars. He learned the Force, joined the Rebellion, blew up the Death Star, and got a medal. Almost everything went wrong for him in The a Empire a Strikes Back. He got shot down in his snowspeeder, crashed his X-wing in a slimy mudhole, his friend got frozen in carbonate, got his hand cut off, and found out Vader is his father.

I think it will bet the same with Rey. She was large and in charge for TFA, but I bet she has some serious setbacks in store for TLJ. I think that tone contributes greatly to how popular TESB is.

It’s just so unbelievable in The Empire a Strikes back when Luke makes the lighsaber come to him in the wampa’s cave. I mean, he didn’t see anyone do that and wasn’t trained on it by Obi Wan. I wonder why they decided to make him so overpowered?

Sorry, I was referring to the Star Wars Celebration in Orlando a few weeks ago.

Shouldn’t they be celebrating the 20th anniversary of Lucas finishing the movies? Oh wait, that would just be the first special editions. He changed them again in 2011, so technically this is the 6th anniversary of A New Hope.

How do you celebrate a movie that you do not make available?

Rey doesn’t do anything more extraordinary than Luke or Anakin in the Original Trilogy and prequels. She may turn out to be the daughter of a powerful Force user, but why does she even need to be propped up like that? She doesn’t. Ever think that maybe she is the most powerful Force user we have ever seen? She is Rey and she is a girl and is awesome. Deal with it.

The OT are not just mere films; they have become far more than that in just a mere four hours of content. So for Lucas to change even ONE thing is the worst act of cultural barbarism in film history. The OT should be kept pure, EXACTLY as it was on the day each film was released. There should be no SE whatsoever; but George’s decision to make it the ONLY version you can watch, why that’s beyond unforgivable. For Disney to continue this shameful reign of terror makes them even guiltier of perpetuating one of the worst cultural erasures of the last 25 years. They are lost films now, I can’t accept a world where the original versions can’t legally exist.

I recommend “Harmy’s orange juice concentrate.” It’s the closest we can get to an original orange.

I wish TV’s Frink would just open the drawer already and release it. Just address the issue. Is there an orange or not, and what kind of orange is it?
If something isn’t done soon, I say we work on growing our own oranges and distributing them online.

It could be remastered and seedless. I hope it’s not in a can like some poor quality transfer.

I wish George would have sold Lucasfilm right after Return of the Jedi just so the prequels and kingdom of the crystal skull never existed. Just imagine how great a proper backstory would have elevated the Original Trilogy. We probably would have a few more decent Indiana Jones movies too.

Sexist and racist attitudes still exist, they just hide behind pseudo PC terms that are used negatively. The fact that some can’t deal with other races and genders being treated equally is something they will have to deal with on their own as the world becomes a more progressive place. Some day their comments will sound as backwards as the hate speech made during the civil rights movement.

TFA plot is way bigger mess than any PT plot. It is simply horrible. So ranking TFA below PT is completely natural in this respect. When you also count in the complete lack of originality in TFA, the judgement is clear.

A small child is somehow the only human who can pilot a podracer, no problem. The same child somehow is ably to fly a combat mission and destroy an entire base ship, no problem. Luke also becomes a combat pilot with no combat training, no problem. Rey pilots the Millennium Falcon through the interior of a ship that she has been scavenging throughout for years and all of a sudden that is impossible.

Somehow it’s a problem when Rey, who has spent her entire young adult life literally fighting for survival with a melee weapon is able to defeat Kylo, who himself has incomplete training and is emotionally disturbed having just killed his own father and has also been shot by Chewbacca’s bowcaster, a weapon that has been shown to send stormtroopers flying.

Rey was able to do a mind trick without even seeing it done or being trained regarding it, but she did experience Kylo reading her thoughts, so she isn’t entirely unfamiliar with the idea of manipulating with someone’s mind.

I don’t see that Rey does anything out of the ordinary. She is a pretty awesome character and I can;t wait to see what happens to her, Finn, Poe, and Kylo in the next one.

Then if Disney/Lucasfilm aren’t going after those actually selling the despecialized versions on ebay, they why not just host the free downloads right here on this site instead of hard to access torrent sites?
