***The Official NON-Star Wars FAN EDIT*** Release Thread

>>>> GENERAL UPDATE <<<<

Maddie just had another surgery (dental reconstruction) and had a BAD allergic reaction to latex so they're keeping her over night (she's doing well and should be home soon) this has kept us a bit busy and on edge here.

I'll do a update to the first page with some new information on the Edits and such once things return to relative normality.

THE EVIL DEAD (The complete trilogy edited into a single film)

Well I gotta say...

Hail to the king, baby!

Now, I know that more then a few of us have sat down with a group of friends, a few pizzas, and unholy quantities of beer (or a box of wine or two,) all with the intention of watching the entire EVIL DEAD Trilogy in one shot ~ But sadly, by the end of the first EVIL DEAD film everyone is too debilitated to even change the movie; especially if you try to take a drink/shoot/toke every time Ash gets whacked in the head!!

Well now there is NO need to get off the couch (or the floor as the case may be) in order to change the disc or the tape, nor do you become distracted by the recaps at the beginning of the second and third acts as it all bleeds seamlessly together now!!

This fan edit of the THE EVIL DEAD Trilogy truly is the Ultimate Experience in Grueling Terror and is a MUST HAVE for any fan.

The DVD’s features:
- The Entire EVIL DEAD Trilogy seamlessly edited into one film
- Anamorphic Widescreen Enhanced for 16x9 Monitors
- 64 well titled and placed chapter stops
- End credits selection page
- Dolby Digital 5.1 audio
- Easter Egg

Coming Soon to the Torrents and Newsgroups

Also, you might also be interested in a new dub of the rare European documentary "Impressions Of DUNE", unreleased here in the U.S.

Thanks!

Hit me up via email !!

I've got a few links you can try BUT to be honest most of the re-sellers have been out of DVD9 discs for months and now sent out the DVD5 versions, I did email one of my old DVD Silver (or Durons) suppliers and he let me know that; yes there are still a bunch of the DVD9 5 Stars out there and on the streets of Asia, BUT that the majority of resellers now only ofer the latest STAR WARS DVD's on DVD9 - the last time I ordered was about 2 months ago for another forum member and I did get the DVD5 - As I was writing this email I check the websites that I know of and they are ALL sold-out

Thi is a photo of the FIVE STAR - DVD9 and DVD5 (some have stickers that say DVD9 but are only DVD5 ) - these are all gone now and replaced with the 2004 versions

The replacements are the new 2004 versions

what brands and where do you get them, cheaply?

I currently get mine at Wal-Mart - Maxell 10 pack for $4.60 (with tax) they offer GREAT quality and very clear unscratched faces

I used to order them on line from MERITLINE.COM where you can get 100 cases shipped for $25 BUT anywhere between 2-15 cases have been crackedand a bunch are scuffed up each time the shipped and the cases are a bit flimsy.

***The Official NON-Star Wars FAN EDIT*** Release Thread

After I started this thread (which has had such a great response they reformatted the forums ) I’ve gotten a lot of emails about the many Edits out there and also about some that are on the way as well as the great emails I’ve also been getting new edits in the mail!!!

To all the Editors and soon-to-be Editors,

Thanks so much for your consideration, it’s been truly wonderful and very entertaining to have the opportunity to watch these incredible fan re-edits; some of which are honestly much better then true Special Edition or Directors Cut releases

I’m in awe at the work that each and everyone of you have done with these reworked masterpieces, and am very honored to have received screener copies from you; and I will do my best to make sure that other fans will be able to download and view these incredible films also!

Again thanks so much!

Rikter

- I will be asking if I can get about 3-5 fan edits up on the newsgroups and torrents over the next two weeks!

NOW ~ I'm starting to want to make an edit now also!!!!

COMING this Saturday to the TORRENTS! (the single layer that is)

Hannibal: Desserts Served With Your Main Course - Edited by ADM
An extended alternate cut. About 22 minutes longer, this reintegrates most of the deleted material

After re-editing the Star Wars saga to his own satisfaction, fan editor ADigitalMan began looking at other films he has appreciated over the years and, where possible through the availablity of good supplemental material, has extended them through the judicious addition of deleted scenes and alternate takes.

Here he has attempted to create an alternate cut of Hannibal, the adaptation by acclaimed director Ridley Scott of Thomas Harris' controversial follow-up to Silence of the Lambs. ADigitalMan has integrated over a dozen deleted scenes to bring the running time around 2:30. In an attempt to make the movie fit better as a sequel to Silence, it was imperative to restore Clarice's trip to the dungeon as she looks for clues to the whereabouts of her old nemesis. Meanwhile, as Hannibal sets up Inspector Pazzi in Florence for the ultimate tribute to Pazzi's infamous ancestor, he can't help but offer advice about another serial murderer terrorizing historic Florence. And while "Il Mostro" isn't as central a figure as "The Tooth Fairy" or "Buffalo Bill" were in the previous stories, we come to know that Hannibal may indeed know more about the killer than he is letting on.

More important exposition is restored as well, including the fate of Jack Crawford, the escape of Hannibal from Florence, and the moment of clarity for Hannibal when he fixates on Paul Krendler in the final act. Finally, a custom modified version of the alternate ending is presented here, with more subtlety and grace than the theatrical cut or even the supplement allowed.

Love or hate this sequel to Silence, there is no denying that Ridley Scott did a masterful job with what he had to work with (even correcting the greatest sin of the novel by outright changing the book's universally-deplored ending). A film rich in visual depth, both in the old world and the new, this edit merely goes to enhance a beautiful romantic art film. It's merely incidental that the unrequited love is between serial killer who eats his victims and the agent tracking him. And so, ADigitalMan presents and extended alternate cut for you entitled "Hannibal: Desserts Served With Your Main Course." Get out the fine china and crystal, enjoy all the goodies you are treated to during this feast of a film, and prepare for the most cerebral dinner party you will ever experience.

ADM, this may be one of your finest edits yet - seemless and subtle (you sure your not in Hollywood?) keep them coming!!!
