- Really in Super 35! Then I need the Fullscreen versions on DVD also

- They will be but not sure when I've got a ton of disc to upload still (but I do put priority on mine )

It may have been for HD but that's about 6 years away for me still so it just standard 4x3. As for a re-creation I would say to use the fullscreen DVD but there will be video quality issues from jumping back and forth then there are the onscreen dog/bug's and some of them have that all new and interesting animated dog's (mini animation for an upcoming show that runs on the bottom 1/5 of the screen)

Hmm, so now I'm thinking a re-edit synced with the DVD 5.1 audio track and the extra bits upmixed... must.... not.... start... new... project.

Hmmmmmmmmm..... sounds intriguing

But man, you have no idea how many times I've kicked that around while I had all the files on my PC, but it was an MPEG. THEN I thought well I could use the DVD and attempt to completely re-make the ABC TV cut using the extra footage on the second DVD and also replicate the commercial fade-outs and in's and use them as the chapters (like I did) add the isolated soundtrack (Man, I really should have wrote down the marker cues from "Wizard People" or at least save a project file!!) I had to end up using some DL'd MP3's as the used CD (complete score CD's please!!) I bought WOULD PLAY but I could only rip a few songs off it (lots of minor scuffs so I need to get another CD) - THEN I thought that I could rip my Philosopher’s Stone DVD and use the correct title instead & add the Philosopher’s Stone trailers (I did add those!) then release it as the proper extended version!

Sadly I don't have the HD room or the skills to edit a film...

***The Official ANGRYSVN UNAUTHORIZED COLLECTION*** Release Thread
Time
Hey there gang!

I found this great fan created "thing" a while back and the idea floated around the back of my head for a bit and after telling a few friends about it (who happened to actually want to see it) I decided to go ahead and take it up. SO, about a week ago I started it up and well it's finally done. I'm pleased with the final results but you never know if a V.2 will pop up BUT either way, this is the version that I will be uploading shortly. I created both dual and single layer DVD's of this sync/edit (the DVD5 will be uploaded) but I'd like to take a break and get away from A/V software for a few days so please hold tight!!

I'll update this and the torrent thread once it's up!

HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCEROR'S STONE
"Wizard People, Dear Readers"

I am a beautiful animal, I am a destroyer of worlds, I am HARRY F#@KING POTTER!
- Harry Potter

"Imagine a grizzled, intense poet hired by mistake to record a cigarette-scarred book-on-tape of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone without having actually read it before. And imagine that instead of reciting from it at the recording session; he simply watches the ultra-faithful Chris Columbus screen adaptation with the sound off, improvising a blow-by-blow rant on what he
sees, what he wants to see, and what he knows he can't see." - SPENCER PARSONS

"Wizard People, Dear Readers" is an alternative and unauthorized re-envisioning of the book/film "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone"; in which the film's original soundtrack is replaced with a much darker comic narration created by Creased Comics author Brad Neely. Mr. Neely's unique use of outrageous plot, insane characters and themes interlaced with his own brand of subversive humor
has been called a "new art form" by the New York Times. It is best described as the infusion of dissident subtext into a pop-culture phenomenon creating a suspension of art and reality.

This completely unauthorized DVD synchronization project was created without the knowledge or consent of either Mr. Neely or the original copyright holders and includes an all new musical soundtrack remixed along with the original internet downloaded "Wizard People" MP3 files.

AND another HP release!

I finished up the ABC Extended version the other night. It’s a straight transfer from my D* DVR, I created both dual and single layer DVD's of this, not sure of which version I’ll upload but we’ll see

I'll update this and the torrent thread once it's up!

HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCEROR'S STONE
"ABC Television Extended Edition"

"It will be the first time the movie has been seen this way."
- Warner Bros. spokesperson.

On May 9, 2004 television network ABC, presented “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone” in a four hour telecast that featured the extended version of the film. Director Chris Columbus added the majority of the deleted footage back into the theatrical version of the film to create the ABC television edit. Although this recording of the extended version was broadcast on ABC’s sister station ABC Family in 2006 it features the same edit of the film.

This completely unauthorized fan preservation project was created without the knowledge or consent of either the ABC Network or original copyright holders. Please do not support piracy; you must own the official DVD to protect your license.

- HAHA!! I had the same problem figuring which to upload!!! BUT "Wizard People" is the first to be uploaded as I did add the soundtrack to the voice-over and I really dig how it came out (I just wish there was a complete score!) I'm also THINKING about making myself a copy of The Philosopher's Stone DVD using the isolated soundtrack that I used for this DVD

Rikter, in the first line of your post you refer to it as the CBS broadcast.

- DOH!!! Corrected that - It is from the ABC broadcast (well ABC Family ) but not the original 2004 broadcast (I deleted that off my TiVo a few years back!) but either way it's the same CBS extended edit/cut/version

So I'm guessing this is a PDTV capture. Do we have full 5.1 sound? Did you edit in the missing parts into a DVD rip or is it 100% capture with only menus from the DVD?

- Nope sorry man but it's not a PDTV capture just DVR to DVD recorder (sold my capture cards!), no 5.1 as it was only broadcast in Dolby Stereo (it triggers my Pro-logic receiver) I don't think it was ever broadcast in 5.1 but then I don't have HDTV so I'm not sure. No, I did no editing (that's not my thing so I'll never do a film edit) so it's just a 100% DVR capture. I did use the DVD to create the menus but I only used 30 second clips for the looped video.

- I just saw no need for multiple posts on the same subject.

If you don't put the Dual Layer on MySpleen, what will be the best method for getting a copy?

- I may just upload the single layer versions of the HP DVD's as I still have about another 20 DVD's that were sent to me to upload, the smaller they are the fast I can upload more stuff as for getting a copy... I'm taking trades or donations for copies if requested (just email me for full details)

Info: a Big bust at the Motor City Comic Con - bootleg sellers
Time
Word is a LOT of MPAA and the RIAA have been raiding all day, all over the country. They had the big guns out and will for at least a few days, I just sold some of my vintage SW figures today and heard this from the shop owner that had an attempted under-cover sting happen today. He had 5 people come in asking for the "The DaVinci Code" on DVD or Tape (a kid, lady, a total non-comic type and some teens)

So, the possible reason is this weekend’s release of "The DaVinci Code" which is likely to be one of the most bootlegged movies (besides Star Wars ) as it has spurred so much controversy, they had some protests at a few theatres here in ABQ. and I’ve also seen/read four news stories on my local news, CNN about DVD bootlegging one which mentioned DVD “sniffing dogs” and two of which were directly related to the most over hyped work of FICTION since Harry Potter!

ANYWAY, that’s just a guess made on observations made in the last week. But it does seem likely.
