LOL, I thought of DAYV too, but I think he uses punctuation.
LOL, I thought of DAYV too, but I think he uses punctuation.
But they don't print them without punctuation and spacing anymore. :(
Thanks Dad for messing up the last few moves.... >;(

^That's sounds much like Classical Latin, which had no spaces and fewer letters on top of all that. It also reminds me of Newspeak, or whatever that language in 1984 is called.

So basically your argument is that atheists are more likely to commit crime, despite any evidence for such a claim, and despite evidence to the contrary? No such claim has been made...nor, apparently, refuted...
The question at present is what might prevent an atheist from partaking in such a theft, not whether any such crimes may have occurred in fact.
Well, one possibility is that the absence of ancient religious creeds might itself prevent prevent partaking in all manner of crimes. Quite a bit of killing is going on, for example, because a sacred book apparently demands it. Not being bound to such scripture, I am thus prevented from murdering heretics, or stealing their children.
Isn't that the opposite of you've been arguing? ;)

And I greatly apologize for the offensive comment I had made above, should have never said something that stupid.
Which comment? I see no offensive comment in the past two pages....

You need help.
Why?
EDIT: Never mind, I hadn't yet seen the last page and a half of the "Last Movie" thread. I now have context...I think.
I believe he's merely putting forward points that must be taken into account in order to have a proper survey. The results of the surveys that show atheism to have less of a presence in jail than Christianity are certainly evidence that Christians are more likely to commit a crime, but there are variables that must be taken into account before a survey can be considered strong enough evidence to conclude that this is true.
:(
U.S. customers only, I guess. I could probably buy it, but I'd rather get the whole season on Netflix in a year or so, so I'll just have to wait.
Yes! Thank you for posting the link. Now I can finally see this thing. :)
EDIT: Do I have to sign up in order to see it on the site?
I definitely agree. I think it was cool to see the Senate, but I didn't want to see all the lame discussion about nothing. I think most of us already know what politics can be like--no need to show it in what ought to be fantasy.

Was the BBY/ABY an in-universe calender? I always thought it was just for readers.
I guess that explains the outrage when the Story Group established a new calender system for the canon universe.
This new calendar replaced the BBY/ABY calendar, or am I misunderstanding?
I Googled it in case I didn't understand it, which it seems I did. I still don't see as being very offensive (and I do mean to imply that it's somewhat offensive), though I can see how someone could be offended by it, in the same way I see how someone could be offended by what may seem like racism, even though not intended as such.
I can't see "Hasidic Jew" as being offensive in your context, however...

I'm sure you've gotten offended over a word before, and others didn't think it was such a big deal. I remember recently Gatos used the term "no homo" and you were so offended you edited his post.
Damn right, and I'd do it again.
I must not be getting enough context from the link, because "no homo" doesn't seem terribly offensive on its own. And you've been offended over things (particularly in the abortion thread) because you read into them to much, which is what people who see racism in everything do.
EDIT: I don't mean to gang up on you; I'm just pointing out that you're offended the same way, but in other areas. I'm sure everyone has an area in which they are easily offended, and I'm no exception. It's only silly when they make a big deal out of it, or they read into everything.

I see nothing offensive about it. The kind of people who get offended by that kind of thing are actively looking for things to be offended about.
Ah. I believe your choice of wording, which would tend to be ended in a questioning way in speech, is to blame (obviously, me not being observant can be immediately discounted).
I believe he was joking, given his use of both subjects of my complaint.

Has it been your experience that these groups tend to care less or more for those yet on the outside (i.e. the theoretically damned)?
They may care but in a very not caring way, like the people who help homeless people because they want to enter the paradise and not exactly because they really care, I'm not saying that every one has the same motivation but there is a lot of hypocrites as well.
Although this assertion may be true for some, for many this is not true, and most certainly not for myself.
Hope all goes well!

I've scrolled past that picture at least a dozen times, and I only just now noticed the mice.... :P
While we're whining about punctuation, I hate when people end questions in periods, or omit spaces after their commas.

I just don't understand....why some people insist on....writing posts like this....I mean....it's not just danny_boy....I see this from all different kinds of people....Do they really think that this is an acceptable....substitute....for using proper punctuation?
I also....hate....when posts like this end with such long trails of periods....it's like adding diarrhea icing....to the shit cake................................................................
Am I one of those people...? ;) Seriously, though, my frequent use of ellipses is a quirk of my writing which I try to avoid, but it's just the way I write and speak.... I don't tend to do it at the expense of proper punctuation, however (unless I'm trying to convey trailing off, as I try to represent how I would say something aloud as much as possible in a forum setting, through the use of punctuation and emoticons).
Indeed. The reverse as well, as you've just demonstrated. Nxh7
