Yeah, that’s annoying. People are freaking out a bit too much over Omicron, methinks.

Just seen something interesting, @AdamFrazier on twitter shared this (which someone on Reddit spotted before him): looks like Boba will be visiting Anchorhead, and it’s just like how it looks in the original deleted scene.

StarWarsExplained theorized that the man and woman in this scene could be Fixer and Camie, so that would make a lot of sense.

The doorway does look quite different though, but this would be set 5-10 years after ANH after all, so alterations to the building could have been made.
Doesn’t look that different to me. Notice the horizontal lines barring the inside of the doorframe in both cases. I think it’s just that the lighting is different.
Aw, too bad…
I’ve been chipping away at this series for almost 10 years now and I’m finally done!
I appreciate Ahsoka as a character much more after Season 7. The last few episodes of Season 5, with Ahsoka leaving the Jedi Order, was probably my favourite part of the whole series, but all of the last season was really enjoyable and well done.
I’m disappointed that The Bad Batch is the continuation of this, but oh well.
On to Rebels and then The Bad Batch.
That’s great, hope it goes well!
Glad to hear it! 😃
The whole “Release order vs. Chronological order” debate could really be a thread in itself. I’d read that. In fact, I might start one.
Pretty sure there’s at least one thread about that already. Maybe take a look around before creating a new one (check the index threads to see if one is listed there).
I highly doubt you’d be banned for that.
But yeah, that not only sucks, it’s just plain stupid. In a world where everyone’s self identity is paramount, it’s unbelievable that your own identification of your sexuality is deemed wrong because of an incongruity with someone else’s self-identification. (Even if your perception of why you were banned is inaccurate, it’s still dumb that anyone would insist you’re gay based on someone’s non-physical gender identity.)
You’d think people who preach tolerance would be tolerant, but alas…
Not of intolerance. Yeah it sounds contradictory, but it’s true.
Again, what is construed is intolerance is often not intolerance, just a difference in views.
“Being mean” is construed incredibly broadly. Questioning people’s ideologies is now considered intolerance to the point that those who consider themselves woke are rarely aware of why the so-called bigots actually believe what they do.
It’s true that there are very real problems with racism, sexism, and homophobia, but the problem is that the approach to these issues is incredibly one-sided. For instance, it used to be politically correct to say that you “don’t see race”. Now, anyone who says that immediately experiences the ire of those who “know better”, regardless of the sentiments behind the statement. They don’t even get a chance to explain themselves before they get shut down and labelled a racist.
Obviously, not everyone is like that, and it’s a two-way street–there are plenty of actual bigots, which is why non-bigots get the label in the first place. But it’s not any less frustrating that those of us with non-politically correct views are slotted into a very narrow box and not listened to.

Oh OK. I can understand being annoyed by her showing up, since she’s not really one of the original Star Wars characters. Personally, I don’t mind it, since I think she’s a good character. I was far more annoyed that Jar Jar constantly showed up in the Clone Wars.
Maybe I’m just thinking of rumours, but in addition to ‘‘Ahsoka’’ and future seasons of ‘‘The Mandalorian’’, I recall there being something about her showing up in future seasons of ‘‘The Bad Batch’’ and ‘‘Rangers of the New Republic’’. The last might just have to do with the fact that they’ve said the three New Republic live-action shows will be interconnected, so maybe they’ll keep Ahsoka out of it. She’ll no doubt be in the movie that’s supposed to wrap them all up, though.
The only episode I didn’t really like was The Jedi, mostly because I’m fed up with Ahsoka popping up in every single piece of expanded material
Outside of The Clone Wars where she originated, she’s in a handful of Rebels episodes and one episode of The Mandalorian.
She’ll also be in multiple shows going forward.
Happy Thanksgiving, all you Americans!
Well, there goes all of history, I guess. 😉
(Not to mention knowing things like that your parents love you–I hope they do, anyway.)
I wish I had a faith, but alas, I cannot believe was isn’t in front of me.
Do you not believe in atoms then?
There are layers to reality that we can never experience directly. Quite a bit of the world is mysterious if you look at it from a certain perspective, even if a lot is known about it.
I feel you. I find the mysteries of my faith to some extent preserve that sense of mystery for me, but it’s still not the same as when the whole world seemed that way. That shift is one of the toughest parts of growing up, I think.
Really sorry to hear that…I’ll say some prayers.
Congrats! Glad the first date went well.
I don’t feel motivated or inspired to do anything.
That’s tough. I find that I tend to feel more motivated once I actually force myself to start something. Maybe try keeping a consistent sleep schedule and getting up early to work on learning something new, like a hobby or a language. Often, once you start doing something like that, you feel a sense of accomplishment that keeps you motivated to continue. Getting started can be tough though.
And if you don’t mind me saying this, for the sake of being fully honest about what I think part of your problem is, I truly believe we are all ultimately made for God, which means that we can never find complete fulfillment without Him. At least that’s my own experience and that of the people I know.
That’s frustrating. But you also have tough competition. People like Harmy have already made very good colour grades and people tend not to like the artificial bluish tint that wasn’t in the original. I feel for you though. It’s tough to put a lot of work into something and not have it appreciated.
Do you have nothing to do or do you just not feel like doing anything?
I was wondering what kind of monstrosity that was until I realized it wasn’t a full room.
Both the above comments strike me as very true.
And yes, it’s absurd to think Netflix is jumping on the “anti-trans” bandwagon. The kind of stuff they feature is usually outrageous in the other direction.
