In that case, one would expect something like "Skylo."

Canadian Bacon
It was pretty funny, though not the funniest comedy I've seen. Aside from not having moose and polar bears running around everywhere (and no igloos), I think they included every Canadian stereotype in there.
Catch Me If You Can
I greatly enjoyed most of it.
I think you may be right. He looks a lot like Biggs at any rate.
Have Obi-Wan ask Bail Organa to repeat a couple more times, then give up and cut the communication...or something.
His other two ideas are a continuation of the same one. By RSB, he meant, of course, The Ridiculousness Strikes Back. So, you would replace...
the asteroid sequence in ANH with that of ESB;
the one in ESB with the one from AOTC;
and the TIE fighter attack in ROTJ with the one from ANH.
That's not much of a spoiler. ;)

Yeah, do you have interviews where Carrie describes Vader? When she confronts him for the first time, she could say something like: "Darth Vader, I have recognized your helmet."
Or she could tell Han: "I have recognized your walking carpet when I was brought on board."
Language note (if you don't mind):
You wouldn't use "have" in either of those cases; in the second, because there's a specific point in time given (when I was brought on board). I'm not really sure why it isn't right in the first one (perhaps because a specific time of recognition would be implied by the context), but it's awkward there as well.
Be sure to let me know if you'd rather I just keep my mouth shut next time. ;)
I would like them to make a movie that is removed from the time period of the PT/OT and explore something new, but still obviously Star Wars.
Yeah, I still need to figure out how to get my sound to work on Windows 10, and there are other little annoyances.
It's called evolution of a language. Letters get dropped all the time in speech and spelling usually takes a while to catch up.
Yup.
Despite beginning the spoiler threads, I avoid all story-related spoilers. Pictures I'm fine with, since they serve to excite me about a movie I'd otherwise nearly forget about....

I might be a little premature on this, but I can't help but want to have all three spoiler threads started by the same person. ;)
Perhaps you should just start the Episode IX spoiler thread then and get it all over with already. =P
And to be perfectly consistent across the board, I think I'll start one for episodes I-VI as well. ;)
My book collection survived our basement flood unscathed, so I'm pretty happy about that.

Thanks for blowing it! I almost had everyone fooled!
I didn't expect to be so busy after coming "home." Our house is in far worse condition than I had realized, so I've been mostly sleeping at my grandparents' place and going to my house to help clean up.
I'm not really sure when I'll be back for real.
Was there some sort of natural disaster?
Only if the mice count. The sewer backup and our awful tenants made most of the mess, however.
Though the Mohawks brutally murdered a bunch of French Jesuit priests, for instance, and that was before the British had much of a presence in the Americas.
They overcorrected when trying to make the textbooks more balanced. They skip over that aspect completely when teaching about the natives.
I figured that spoilers would start popping up soon, so I thought I’d have a thread ready for them when they started coming. They won’t be from filming, obviously, but they’ve got to be doing some sort of work at this point.

As a courtesy to fellow members, when linking to youtube videos or articles etc, please give both the title and source to which you are linking to - thank you.
That's great! Now, if only the inspection crews that inspected the family business a while back had had the same things to say about that (how many warning labels does this world need before those people are happy?).
Guardians of the Galaxy
You know a movie is good when you want to see it again less than five minutes into it. It suffered from Star Trek alien syndrome, but that didn't detract from the movie at all.
Jupiter Ascending
This was a good one too, though I can't say I enjoyed it as much as GotG.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
I think this was my favourite, or maybe second favourite, of the Avenger's movies. I've yet to see the latest Thor movie and Age of Ultron, though.
Not being used to seeing many recent movies at once, I was amazed at how far CGI has come. Water still needs a little work, but for the most part, I can't tell what's CGI and what isn't.
There couldn't have been any. All the natives were good.
;)
I'd help you if I was better versed in the specifics of American history, but the above is about all I took away from my school textbooks.

The Battle of the Five Armies
I had an opportunity to see it, finally. I enjoyed it quite a bit, though not as much as the last one. The black arrow-shooting thing was a lot less goofy than people made it sound, and the early death of Smaug didn't bother me at all...those who complain about it must not have read the book. The dragon sickness also didn't bother me much, as it was an element in the book, if not nearly as prominent in the story.
I'm back now, a bit earlier than expected.
