I don’t even want to know what sort of dirty thoughts you’re thinking, but that’s not what I meant.
I don’t even want to know what sort of dirty thoughts you’re thinking, but that’s not what I meant.
You’re a cat right?
That would explain why all the girls used to pet my hair in grade 7. 😛
I’ve been trying to figure that out for ages, but no one seems to know!
I’VE HAD IT! I’m not going to post if Possessed is going to post anymore. I’ve tried ignoring him, I’ve tried enlightening him, I’ve tried engorging him, I’ve tried murdering him, I’ve tried EVERYTHING. Every time I see one of his posts a piece of me dies. I will quit this site if I see one more Possessed post.
But have you tried exorcising him?
It’s OK everybody, I’m back.
Guys, I won’t be able to post here during the day tomorrow. Sorry about it.
Where do you prefer posts be reported, here or via PM?
Before I forget…
Is it just me, or are those links not working properly? I get an error when I click on them.
Although I’m not quite sure where these are from, probably some Disney/Marvel comics that I won’t bother reading, I still though they were pretty cool-looking. They have kind of film-noir femme-fatale feel to them.
Although I’m not a fan of the idea of Yoda using a lightsaber, I still think this is a really cool-looking painting.
(I’m also wondering whether this was made pre-PT since his lightsaber is blue. His belt does however remind me of Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan’s belts in TPM. Does anyone have any idea when this was made?)
I’m going to guess it was made between TPM and AOTC, as we didn’t see Yoda use a lightsaber in TPM.
Yeah, that link takes me to the error too.
This is the first step towards rebuilding Off Topic everybody. We can make this happen!
I will put down the first signature of the petition:
RicOlie_2
Let’s get a petition going to get Frink’s boss to fire him.
Then we need to track down VFP, C3PS, etc. and convince them to post again.
JEDIT: And of course Bingowings and Ender. I’m probably missing some people, but that should be a good start.
“It’s locked, move on to the next one.”
That line always makes me laugh.
Hmm…you need to find some places–lots of places–for that line in your edits. I can’t remember if there are many times stormtroopers go up to closed doors in the OT, though.
Ha, I just watched/listened to that for the first time last night.
Your recent posting rate begs to differ…
I’d say it was around then. Things were pretty lively when he was around. Ender was also around, and I think a couple other people were too. VFP, C3PS, et al. were already long absent, though.
Why can’t we have threads/members* like this anymore?
*OK, why can’t we have more of them?
It’s not more silly, but it is too similar.
Yeah, I didn’t think Maz’ castle was at all a rip-off of the cantina in ANH. Starkiller Base didn’t have to be a ripoff of the Death Star either. If they had found a more creative way of blowing it up instead of with the stupid “thermal oscillator” thing, I wouldn’t have had much of a problem with that either.
Fried plantains are delicious.
Not to mention that it gives away the fact that it’s going to be the eighth episode of Star Wars. Anyone who wasn’t keeping track has now been spoiled.
It felt like it was jumping around a lot to me, at least at the beginning. I’ve only seen it once, though, so my second impression might be different.
The Falcon’s targeting computer.
THE FALCON’S TARGETING COMPUTER!!!
Yes! I was really happy to see that it hadn’t been changed to look “cooler.”
I couldn’t tell if the CGI was actually bad or not, since the theatre had the movie out of focus, but Snoke and Maz both looked pretty fake to me. CGI always seems to look worse when the image isn’t clear.
In my defense I’m only 22 now so in 2009 I would have been somewhere in the ballpark of 15.
That’s no excuse. 😉
If you teach your kids about Christianity, tell them why Christians believe various things. That way you won’t be brainwashing them, and they will be able to make a more informed choice when they reach that age. I’m not Catholic just because my parents are; I made that decision on my own.
I really liked that scene where Kylo Ren threw a temper tantrum rather than choking the officer, as it was implied he would do. Similarly, I like the giant Snoke turning out to be a hologram (and I like the fact that holograms are more advanced).
The level of humour felt perfect for Star Wars. The sets were great. The new stormtrooper design was perfect.
When I think about it, I think just about the only way it fell short was in the plot and the pacing. Visually speaking, it was fantastic.
