A far more realistic undertaking would be a redub, so that we might actually start to like his character.

Watch what you say about my buddy.  He is nearly as observant as me, but misunderstood.  I actually blame myself - I should have told everyone more about what he was doing.  You'll notice that I told everyone about R2 saving the ship, and everyone LOVES him.

I think Dave lit it so it could be seen with more ease and as a joke (his video mockups usually have at least one hidden gag in there somewhere).

It's straight out of Ric Olie's scrapbook (Ric you should turn your thread into a scrapbook it's such an obvious idea I'm surprised you haven't mentioned it yet).

Ric Olie is confused.

I know this is off topic, but does anyone else think that Ric Olie's pic looks like Norm MacDonald?

See, this is why you need me.  You still need me to point out the obvious: I'm much more handsome than that other guy.

Just look at him - too much hair, not pixelated enough, clearly enjoying himself too much with some awful drink in a ego-mug.  I'm much more of a catch.

Who exactly should I be striking down? Ric? I love Ric!

Perhaps the one that thought it was a good thing to point everything out and drop him into the movie, was it Lucas or some yes guys?

Do we know who his creator is?

As TV's Frink has said, if Ric Olie didn't point it out, it didn't exist. Therefore the only reason Ric Olie exists is because he pointed his own existence out!

My exact words were: "There's me, being born."

And look over there - Ric Olie is shutting up for a while before Adywan strikes him down.

No socks, okay guys? They can be funny and all, but I hate having to clean up that shit.

^ I was going by the above comment he made some time ago.

Ric, you have 24 hours to convince Jay that you are funny enough to stay.

24 hours to prove I'm funny?  Now that is some pressure!

Moth3r - thanks for even considering this.

To the others who have played along with me - thanks for making this a fun ride.  It would have been pointless if you didn't enjoy it too.  And sorry about the deception.  But it was more fun this way, right?

Jay - I'd love to hammer out some long hilarious essay about why you should keep me around.  But let's be honest, I'm kind of a one-trick pony.  I think I can still provide some entertainment, but it's going to be more of the same.  It's not my fault George made me so one-dimensional.  Regardless, I think I have to stand on my body of work to this point.  Whatever your decision, I will understand and live with it.  All I ask is for you to remember that we live in a pretty serious world, and it's nice to have someone who can point out the obvious in a lighthearted manner once in a while.  I should also point out that it's been rough going for expository characters in today's economy, and I don't know how I could explain losing this gig to little Jimmy Olie and Ric Olie Jr.

You've got your wish - I took the liberty to do this video up -: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udspETJdFZ8

Very cool.  But we all know that the biggest problem with this scene is that Greedo should have seen this coming from a mile away.  He needs to be distracted:

Greedo:  'I've been looking forward to this for a long time'

Ric Olie: Look over there.

[ BLAM! ]

[ Greedo falls, dead ]

Now that would be nice to see.

My whiney blog which recently turned advice column (the Hot.Like.C3PX thread) would be a good place to inquire about such advice.

Shameless self promotional plug over.

That little C3PX did it! He bypassed my audience. Deflector shields up....

Ugh.  I'm running out of material.  Stupid George Lucas.  You could have put me in more movies! Hell, Typho got a cameo in ROTS.

Ric Olie, I think your plan backfired. Rather than pitting us all against each other like most trolls do, YOU have united us in silliness.

Troll? I'm being helpful here. If not for me, would EyeShotFirst have gotten an offer for help from C3PX?  I think not.

And I'm being deadly serious.  Seriously - I need work.  I'm just about out of food and I'm late on my starship payments.
