How deeply rooted is "suck" in the Prequels?

Ric, how do you actually get out of the house in the morning?  I would imagine all your time is spent in front of the mirror.  "Look, there's that handsome devil, Ric Olie.  Those are his biceps.  Those control the ladies."

While it's true I spend a lot of time in front of the mirror, I have to get out and about, otherwise I rob everyone of the chance to see me.

Isn't Ric Olie a character? Acted by an actor? He's not real, right? So the poster here can't be Ric Olie. Maybe he's the actor, Ralph Brown? ;)

Ralph Brown?  Please.  He only wishes he was me.  I'm me, baby!

We normally blame the acting (which is bad (except for Ric who was excellent!))

I agree. He was super awesome in the first film (in which Ric was also super handsome), but in the second film he came off 100% even better and in the third film he was just completely awesome. His performances as himself regularly get praised for the simple reason that he was amazing and talented and handsome as hell. But it's really more impressive than that. He completely manages to make the sort of connection betwen the audience and the character that there was with the characters in the OT and in the PT Ric managed a lot more connection and feeling than anyone ever has or will again.

Fixed!

Ok, here is the test shot I mentioned. It's not an animation, just a still shot. My Maya is currently on a desktop PC that is out of commision at the moment so I cannot grab and re composite the animation I worked on. The still is from very first render I made, and was just working on the lighting for the scene. The X-Wing is untextured, and the ship angle is just temp.  let me know what you think.

Take it from an expert - if you want to get your point across, you have to say more than that.
