Ask the member of the Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic Church AKA Interrogate the Catholic ;)

I believe many phenomena attributed to God are a form of science outside of our understanding, but that we may crack the code someday.

Given that definition of God, and my allowance for miracles, I don't know what my official designation would be.

I guess I'm an atheist who believes in the spiritual to some degree while using God as a metaphor. That may sound strange when I type it out like that, but Buddhism actually has a similar framework.

Coupled with high heels.

It's almost as powerful as Daisy Duke shorts. Depending on the woman, of course, but even a 6 can elevate to an 8 like that.

By the way, how adult is this discussion? This forum is unmoderated, but it could suddenly become moderated.

I really am appreciative of your comment, and perhaps you are saying I should be more grateful.  In any case, your words are kind, and I hope you have remaining interest in church activity.  If any of my actions have steered you away, I genuinely apologize for my mortal weaknesses. :)

You are very self-critical. But you've set the best example anyone could expect from a mortal. :) If not me, then I'm sure someone's interests in the church will be ignited.

And if there is a final judgment, this thread will place many on higher accountability.

Darth Ender deserves to know.

I am a lapsed Mormon.

In 2004, I ran across a "Free Book of Mormon" ad somewhere. It was free. And it was the infamous 'Book of Mormon' which I'd heard about but never read. I gave my address, phone number, name.

Next thing I knew, these two beautiful missionary women knocked on my door. My parents invited them in. I was a smitten teenager that also happened to have a passing interest in religion and spirituality.

I was baptized in Kansas City, Missouri later that year. My teenage years were traumatic. The church helped remind me to be generous and compassionate toward others. Without them, I would have turned out far, far worse of a person.

There were dances and gatherings that diverted me away from the less wholesome parties of my school peers. I met a girl and briefly dated her before my family and I moved away.

One lesson in particular I remember is that gratitude cancels out anger. It's an exercise I use to this very day, almost every day.

If there's one church I want to see survive the secular wave in the western world, it is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
