Superman I-III extended TV cuts & Info - Where have the Preservations gone? (Released)
Time

My concern is the 2.40:1 is the aspect ratio of the already released cut that is on there and the full frame is the previously unreleased extended cut. Why else include the words Full Frame?

It’s 2.40:1 as stated on blu-ray.com forum. Damn, do the research and scroll up to JayArgonauts post for the complete information. OAR and in DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 to boot.

Since you rated FARGO so highly, I really recommend watching all three seasons of the TV show. It’s great.

IT: Chapter One (2017)
Damn, this was really good. Really want to go see IT again if time permits, will have a longer cut when released to physical media (15-20 minutes longer running time?), and already wanting to own IT. IT: Chapter Two (Latter half of the book adapted where they’re adults, obviously.) will be released September 6, 2019.

Going to reread the book (haven’t read in 20 years or so) and rewatch the Blu-ray disc of the 1990 TV mini-series adaptation.

I’ve never played wind waker but I’ve always been curious. The graphics always turned me off but I’ve heard it’s a great game if you can get past that.

When I bought myself the GameCube way back when I got both The Wind Waker and METROID: Prime. Both are great. Dunno how long after Resident Evil 0 and RE 1 Remix were released. I was 23 in 2002 and skipped the N64, PS2, and Sega Saturn (Fifth?) generation of gaming. Also had the XBOX PHAT and never got the PS2. Component video with 5.1 surround. Especially with those GCN or any games where they had a Dolby Pro Logic choice.
Now, I obviously emulate GCN via the Dolphin. Never really bothered with the Wii aspect of it. Twilight Princess (GCN) runs fine on Dolphin too. Trying to play Yakuza 1 and Katamari Damacy through the PCSX2 is tricky. Not a fan of Final Fantasy but I am for Dragon Quest still.

Always will be playing games on PC.

Awesome WAC is releasing a full widescreen OAR with DTS-HD MA 2.0 on a pressed Blu-ray disc for the TV cut of SUPERMAN: The Movie! Most likely this’ll be the best looking release so far since it doesn’t have to compete with the HD DVD of the Special Edition (2000) version for bitrate. Theatrical is fine too but could appear even better. Obviously zero commercials.
Now for the eventual, hopeful, TV Cuts for II & III to appear through WAC. Maybe even both cuts of SUPERGIRL could be a 2 BD50 release through WAC sometime too?

The cover looks a bit shit.

Terrible DVD/Blu-ray Cover Art

The kerning shift from the title to the Roman numerals is the thing that bothers me the most for some reason…

Agreed. The kerning is all sorts of shit. Why didn’t they use the OG font from the posters? At least I own the Anthology boxset (8-Disc).
Really hate it when covers use fonts for movies when those fonts never existed during original release. Not a fan of John Wayne at all, but damn those coverarts are shit.

Wonder if any of you die hard Zelda fans who started with the overrated N64 entries ever play any ROMHacks. Parallel Worlds is cool but unnecessarily difficult. Myself, I started playing the Zelda series way back in 1987 when I was but a wee shit at 8 years.
I should replay the EVIL DEAD games for Dreamcast and XBOX Phat before I get around to finish watching ASH vs. EVIL DEAD. Still playing Assassin’s Creed III and EMPIRE: Total War. Also been playing >OBSERVER_ It’s quite a cool PC game, stars Rutger Hauer as the player character, and one of my friends recommended it to me since she knows I’m a huge fan of BLADE RUNNER.
AVEN Colony is neat but all food harvested is vegetarian friendly and I dunno why. Been wanting to play Sid Meier’s Civilization - Beyond Earth but I’ll give it a go later.

Also Lucas hasn’t made a solid ending to a SW film since Empire. What’s sad is that I don’t even know all the specifics of what Lucas contributed to the ending of Empire so I wouldn’t be so quick to give him that type of props.

I dislike AOTC, but I think it had a solid ending. The war begins and we see the massive army ready to ship out to the front lines and Anakin and Padme sneak away for a forbidden wedding and whatever pleasure they can get in a galaxy about to be torn apart by war. Of course it looks terrible and you have to forget the last 2 hours.

In general the ending was competent, but everything that preceded the ending was garbage and endings are built upon the foundations of a story. Not even one person at the end continued to question the suspect nature surrounding the Clone Army and that tarnished the whole thing for me.

I haven’t watched the Prequels in at least 6 years so its all faded a bit for me.

The Clone Wars is far superior anyway. I didn’t watch it in broadcast order but the Chronological Story one.
Episode IX will be a worthy addition to my movie ticket stub collection. IDGAF if Abrams is returning but it woulda been nice if different director.

The mobile game Galaxy of Heroes is fun. Play with me and Frink!

No.

Thank god.

Thank a ficticious being? I think not!

LEGO New Star Wars from The Force Awakens is pretty neat. Playing it on PC with 360 wired controller. Also been playing Battlefront II with tons of mods. Been replaying the Dark Forces games. If Kyle Katarn returned to current canon, then yeah mercenary and a bit of force dabbling.
Yay.

Speaking of Sean Connery…

The League of Extraordinary Gentleman

The comic book is much better but the movie is only good for Sean Connery and neat stuff.

Disregarding all prior conversation aboots Speed Racer live-actions movie feelm animu adaptationings. (I swear I’m not drunk or having a stroke or drunk and having a stroke at the same time.)

One more is Mystery Men. I enjoyed it. Dunno why I sold the DVD. Gonna buy the Blu-ray disc eventually. Decent comic book to movie adaptation.

I think the movie is quite underrated. Remove the kid and his monkey and it’s a complete winner.

The kid and his monkey were in the original cartoon and frequently saved Speed’s butt.

I know, but as I said, I have no connection to the cartoon so that doesn’t matter to me. All that mattered to me was how annoying they both were in an otherwise good movie.

Watch the OG cartoon then.

I guess Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is considered bad on this forum. I loved it. More because I’ve read all the Bantam Books, the comics from both Marvel and Dark Horse, played The Last Crusade, Fate of Atlantis, Infernal Machine, and Emperor’s Tomb video games. Still a huge Indiana Jones fan and won’t sell anything I’ve collected of it. Unlike Star Wars.
Except if there were an Indiana Jones movie trilogy in the 1990s I’d go for Fate of Atlantis, Spear of Destiny, and The Iron Phoenix. Monkey King was an alright script, would like to see it as a comic book.
ZARDOZ. So glad I own the Arrow Blu-ray disc.
