Luke using the force to hit an almost impossible target means that the force is indeed more powerful than the “technological terror” of the Death Star. It’s the final word on the “materialism vs the force” discussion the movie presents to the viewer in multiple scenes (Obi Wan and Solo inside the Falcon, Vader and the imperial, Obi Wan becoming more powerful after dying).

Of course, Rogue One doesn’t ruin all that, but it does make it less meaningful and bothers me a lot.

Rogue One isn’t good. The characters aren’t good, the Vader scene was stupid and making the Death Star flaw something intentional makes Luke destroying it in SW less meaningful. Awful movie.

After the OT, The Phantom Menace is the best Star Wars movie.

I like the Ewoks in RotJ. I also dislike Han Solo in RotJ, he’s suddenly goofy and a little dumb (in my headcanon he got some brain damage caused by the carbonite lol).

Luke CGI and dialogue was so bad I thought he was actually Luuke until R2D2 walked in LOL.

Cheers guys, the reason why I asked is because when I watched Harmy’s version on my 1080p Plasma I noticed some of the flaws but it seemed okay. But watching it last night on a 4K Oled TV…I dunno, I noticed the imperfections more sadly and weirdly it looked like everyone had too much make up on.

Watching that YouTube video above and Obi-Wan looks like he’s got a good tan compared to the other versions.

Whilst I prefer the pacing of the original version, I’m thinking of just relenting and having the Blu-Ray’s as my go-to versions now due to the quality.
Also in ANH, unsure if it’s because I’ve watched the special edition a lot, but the edit of the theatrical just before Luke gets to the Falcon seems really jarring without the Jabba scene now - help me! lol

Have you tried 35mm restoration projects? Harmy edits are wonderful and were my way to go for the whole OT for some time, but 4K77 and 4K83 are way superior options for SW and RotJ IMO, I recommend you to try those.
