Haha, very good...!
Yikes...! I will have to be more careful...I will now have difficulty sleeping knowing this is on my conscience...
But would it make me appear evil...or simply very tired...?
Well now that is simply stunning...what improvement might one consider for my own, unblinking avatar...?
I am truly sorry to hear of your fiasco, dear Duracell, I hope that the damage is repairable...!
Though I couldn't care less to defend the popular usage...the proper usage should never deviate...
Haha...do not worry, my friend, I will likely return...however at this point, while I know when I am leaving, I do not yet know when I will be back...schedules and such...!
...14 days left...

And well they might...or perhaps not...however you are still to be welcomed nonetheless...
Why the ellipses? It makes you look pretentious...
...you may envision them to be a sign of pretentiousness...or due to a more legitimate origin...or perhaps merely imagine me to be catching my breath...however I prefer appropriate pauses between ideas...it is perhaps a fault of mine...
Yes, that's what the comma and the period (aka the "full stop") are for.
While I agree that such alternate punctuation serve a purpose, only the good and trusty ellipse allows one to fade out between statements...drifting in and out of traffic, as it were...as a wave rolling in from the sea...to crash and begin anew...
Either that or perhaps you might merely imagine that I may often lose my train of thought midway through a performance...and then recall again what it was that I wished to say...or not...?
Well thank you my good Handman...I do very much enjoy yours as well...do not take too long of a break...!
Well I will be 'going away' in 18 days. I trust this should be considered sufficient warning for all of those who might grieve my absence...it is uncertain as to when I might return...
We had to wish that to ourselves...just as Warbler appears to be doing...
Happy 4th to our fine American cousins...!
Certainly you may resign...there is no need to prolong the bloodshed...I too feel this game has reached its logical conclusion and have no real reason to battle Ric to the bitter end given that we have a truce to defend one another's lands into perpetuity...
As for playing with modified rules, I would enjoy such a challenge, but not for a few weeks as work is once again becoming fairly involved. Thank you for the game...!

Welcome jaksic...I have not encountered you before...
Ric, take his pawn in the pleasure garden and I will remove the threat of the lance
I wonder if another thought might be to allow all of the lone player's pieces to begin promoted?
An alternate solution might involve allowing the King to teleport up to a given number of squares.
Or, perhaps a further alternate might be if the King were to be able to switch places with another piece of his choice should he be placed in check (but not in mate)?
Well that is good to hear...now where is my new laptop...hmm?
I have considered that the main improvement necessary might be if the lone player were allowed a move after each of his opponents. We might try that in a future game and see where it might lead.

That is very unfortunate, but I understand how that can happen. At least if you have learned by this the next time might not veer so far off course...
