Competing movies within a genre

Anyone want to share their preference between the competing films?

Ok, of all the films listed so far that I've seen, here are my preferences and a short little string of words for each.

EdTV vs The Truman Show. Truman Show is a masterpiece! EdTV is goofy dumb.
Armageddon vs Deep Impact. Deep Impact cuz Morgan Freeman. And the guy who played the "Black Head of the CIA".
The Prestige vs The Illusionist. While I did really like The Illusionist, it was The Prestige that kept me thinking and rewatching.
White House Down vs Olympus Has Fallen. I barely remember either, but I remember White House Down more.
Platoon vs Full Metal Jacket. I don't think these really fit. Sure, they're both Vietnam flicks that came out around the same time. But they're very different and I never felt they were "competing". Well ok, maybe because Platoon had just won the Oscars, Full Metal Jacket was ignored, but whatevs. Anyway, FMJ wins it for me.
The Losers vs The A-Team. I liked The Losers more, but I barely remember either.
A Bug's Life vs Antz. Pixar > Woody All-ant.
Shrek vs. Monsters Inc. Pixar > Dreamworks.

Underrated Sequels/Prequels

Shock Treatment. This may not be anywhere near as great as Rocky Horror Picture Show but it's fun and twisted. I listen to this soundtrack maybe as often as RHPS.

Wayne's World 2. I can see how it gets hate for being too wacky and relying more on bit-jokes (Jurassic Park, fight sequence). But man does it have some really brilliant moments (traveling to London montage, "Can I still be Garth?").

And Then There Were None (1945) - I haven't posted my LMS in awhile, thought I'd pick it back up. Has anyone else seen this film? It is great. A

Yes! I absolutely love that movie. Have you read the play?

I have not, I was unfamiliar with the story until the movie came on TCM a few days ago. Isn't there a book too? By Agatha Christie? I'll have to check them out.

Ah yes, good ole "Ten Little Niggers". Somehow I forgot about that book's existence.
