Info & Info Wanted: A Few other Extended TV Cuts of Films...
Time

I was thinking of a few other movies I remember seeing or hearing about that have had extended TV cuts, sorry if these have been brought up before.

  • Airplane! (Although it appears most if not all of the scenes are on the latest DVD release)
  • Airplane II
  • Coneheads
  • Fast Times at Ridgemont High
  • Gremlins (I believe only one new scene was added to some TV broadcasts)

Are any of these currently being worked on?

P.S. I also heard there’s a DVD version of Dumb and Dumber that includes a deleted scene of Lloyd returning to the little old lady after getting change and she’s gone.

Star Tours, Muppet*vision 3-D, Terminator 3-D, Back to the Future - The Ride, Captain EO, etc (Some Project Releases)

Thanks for the suggestion, if they ever have open registration I'll do just that, they both appear to be "membership by invite only" at the moment.

Slightly off topic. But does anyone know where I can download the extended TV cuts of Jaws and Jaws 2 that were discussed in another topic?

I have the BTTF Ride on DVD, was able to score it from a yahoo auction, it has all the footage, including the muic breaks with the spinning Institute of Future Technology logo. It's a treasured item now since the ride is soon to be lost in the archives of history (no pun intended) The quality is ok, I'd give it about a 6, but it's better than having nothing!

Back to the Future as one film (Released)
Time
Being a big Back to the Future fan, I did a chronological cut myself. If anyone's interested, here's the breakdown: (Which is probably how most would do it, but I have seen variations)

- In part 1, after Marty gets the car keys from Biff, cut to Part 2 with Marty opening the garage door, then after Doc returns to take him and Jennifer to 2015 cut right after Biff says "What the hell is going on here?" before the music kicks in.

- For part 2 to 3, I used the ending of part 2, and right after Doc faints, cut to a the brief pan down to Doc's mansion in the rain where there are no credits or music, then cut to the staticy TV just as Howdy Doody comes on. I did actually toy with the idea of attempting to reinsert certain deleted scenes, but figured it would be too difficult to pull off. I also was thinking about inserting the scene of Marty from part 2 running up to Doc to the end of part 1, but that would go against the Bobs' logic of "nothing happens until you see it happen"

Jaws 2 - TV Airing preservation (Released)
Time
Greetings everyone!!! I stumbled across this forum doing a search on Jaws related info. I remember this TV cut and infact used to have it before my VCR went and ate the tape on me!! Mitch have you transfered this to DVD or made a torrent of it? I'm interested in getting ahold of a copy for the collector's value. Are you going to transfer the Jaws airings as well? I'm interested in the original as I have the 25th Anniversary reairing and I heard the original includes more added footage.
