I would love to see the patches. I made a set of these for someone recently and I'd forgotten how good these transfers still are. They are much better than the PAL GOUT. I'm in NTSC land, but when I want to watch on my computer, these are the versions I go for...

Thanks Mojo. For the CC, I ended up having 4 or 5 different settings that I used for the whole thing as needed. I used MPEG Streamclip to crop and resize to 16:9. Editing was in Final Cut Pro with the Photo JPEG codec at maximum quality. It's not lossless, but it's the best codec that my OLD Mac can play/edit in real time. Exported from FCP to Compressor for MPEG2 encoding using best settings and then authored in DVD Studio Pro.

I don't think I'll be doing a whole 16:9 SW. Not being 2.35:1 is the biggest regret I have about TSOSW. I only did the 16:9 crop because, at the time, I didn't know how to work in the pans/zooms and stay 2.35:1. I now know how to do it and Empire is 2.35:1 and looks great. If I can ever get time to finish the authoring, you all will see, LOL! Thanks again for the compliments, Mojo. They're nice to hear....

DF, thanks for pulling the torrent down so quickly. I truly appreciate your enthusiasm for getting this project on the spleen. I sent you a PM on myspleen. Let me know if that PM was not clear enough and if I need to send you another torrent files disc. And, thanks for everyone's patience. We'll get the NTSC version torrented somewhere eventually...

Oh, it's not done... I'm still working on it. However, I was able to get quite a bit of work completed this past week. I've got the ideas for the menus fleshed out and I've actually started authoring! Now that The Lost Scenes project is done, I'm looking forward to finally getting this thing done. I'll post some screenshots later in the week...

I, unfortunately, have not been able to play/export the Making Magic .SAN video files. The tools/apps that I have found and tried have not worked for me. However, I am trying to do this with Windows 2000 Pro inside Virtual PC on my Mac (not exactly a speed demon setup!). I don't know if that has anything to do with my lack of success. I had no problems with the BTM material with this same setup, though. So SKot, your captures may well prove to be the best source. It would be great if someone else could try and take it upon themselves to directly export the .SAN video files from Making Magic. BTW, I've sent JD the FanFiltration DVD conversion along with the CD-ROM.

Thanks SKot! That made my day. I'm glad you're enjoying it. I try to put a lot of care into my projects and it's nice to know people appreciate it. I'm happy to be the one that put out the unrestored versions. I personally can't wait to see boba feta's restoration. His sample video looked awesome. Here's hoping that there will be NTSC and PAL versions of his project also...
