The Exorcist III was cool.
The Exorcist III was cool.
If Lucas is claiming that Star Wars was originally titled:
Star Wars - Episode IV - The Tragedy of Darth Vader
Does he also have the original, and not totally retconned, titles for the final two films?
Star Wars - Episode V - Darth Sidious Strikes Back
Star Wars - Episode VI - The Return of Anakin Skywalker

I know the movies are riddled with continuity errors, but one that recently started bugging me (I don't know if it was ever brought up here or elsewhere) is when the shields close that separate Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and Maul in TPM. Why couldn't a slice or two on the side where the shield was generated shut the whole thing down? A couple of blasts shut down the hangar shields in the opening battle of ROTS. Why can't a lightsaber do the same?
And if Darth Maul had known how to block, maybe he would have survived long enough to be killed by Obi-Wan on Utapau.
So much better than anything in the prequels.
The hologram is a cool idea. But it would have to be one of those Walking Holo-Emitters that Palpatine had in The Phantom Menace. That way we could see it move out of the way when Han walks around it.
Of course removing the scene entirely is the only true answer.
The Dark Knight
All the Balls in the Universe out of Five
Batman Begins 4 out of 5 balls
The Prestige 5 out of 5 balls

atack of the clones is the best because it has explosions and yoda fighting and boba fett and jango fett and clone troopers fighting and anakin fighting and it has a happy ending because the clones come in and help save the jedi from the bad guys and its realy cool
This is why AOTC is the best Star Wars Prequel ever made! Also Padme gets her shirt ripped so that we can see her midriff.
Lucas is a GOD!
Hopefully Lucas has read this thread and is now removing all of Leia's racism from the upcoming Blu-ray release.

The original, theatrical cut is damn near perfect. The special edition and the dvd box set versions are crap.
At least with the 2004 edition we get the Executive Producer Cut. Which is clearly better than the director's cut.

Leia's "Walking carpet" line grates on me. So does "I'd just as soon kiss a Wookie!". What if Chewie was African? Would she say "Would somebody get this black guy outta my way?" and "I'd just as soon kiss an 'S'-word*!" ? It may all seem silly to some, but it bugs me.
Also, to whoever said that Leia is a stuck up snob in SW, I disagree. She's a military leader who's mostly only posing as royalty to disguise her real motives. She's been captured and tortured and now she's being rescued by some guys who don't know what the hell they're doing. I'd be grumpy to.
* Boondocks, anybody?
Snooki?
Dark Empire I and II was cool.
Rage. Pure, undiluted fanboy rage.
That was not the Anakin that returned from the Dark Side.
It is the best because even The Bearded One's Special Edition can't hurt it.
It is.
Transformers: The Movie
Dirk Diggler ruined this for me.
It looks like NBC did indeed give Chuck a fifth season of at least 13 episodes. Cool. More Yvonne Strahovski is always a good thing.
I can't wait to see what new GRATUITOUS PRODUCT PLACEMENT will be in store for us.

Where is this black & white version you speak of?
On the second disc of the DVD/Blu-ray.
I just wish General Grievous was getting his share of the credit.

Nice! Loved it. The Mist. I was pleasantly surprised, despite some dodgy CG. Really loved the ending. 3 balls out of 4 balls.
I enjoyed the black and white version much more than the standard colour version. just lends to the feel of the movie better i guess.
The B&W version is killer! Makes it feel like one of those sci-fi/horror movies from the 1950s.
I take it that this is not a Chuck Bass Appreciation Thread?
The Kids are All Right
I didn't know it was possible to make a film about lesbians boring.

The only discs I am interested in of course is discs 8 and 9. And Lucas knows it, too. The fact that he's not releasing these discs with the OT set really shows you what he thinks of the Star Wars fans today. The only way to get the bonus discs is to buy all 6 films, and that's not gonna happen. So no extras if you just buy the OT box? No deal.
Am I surprised? No. But I am disappointed. I was hoping for once they might actually meet us half way and deliver some great extras with the OT. Instead, we get NO extras with the OT - we have to buy all 6 films! I already knew that we wouldn't get the original releases. There might be some neat deleted scenes perhaps, but 2 bonus discs are not worth $100.
Actually it is only the ninth disc that is exclusive to the "Complete Saga" box. The eighth disc will be available in the "Original Trilogy" box.
