Wookie Groomer's 1080p Star Wars Saga project (Released)

I checked it and you're right. I'm surprised that this was overlooked. Do you guys know of any other places in the original trilogy or the prequels where there are any German subtitles that were accidentally left in the Wookiegroomer set?

The TPM bit was the only "mistake". The rest is perfect :)

Also blitter, do you have the 12GB version or DVD9 one?.

You'll need a good dual core or quad core processor to be able to watch it using your pc without serious lagging. But if your processor can handle it then hook it up via DVI and using your TV will be fine.

or if you have a card that can handle H.264 decoding. ie Nvidia 8x00/ ATi 2x00> series. The CPU requirement goes WAY down :).

This project looks very intresting. Kind of OT/1997 hybrid.

Not enterialy sure about the Pre-2004 Emperor bit (1997 Emperor looked really funny), 2004 Emperor + 1997/OT dialog would be nice to see, but that would take alot of editing.

None the less no No Hayden and Han is a BIG F**K YES! :)

Also are you using hV's release to edit/re-encode or are you using the MPEG2 boardcast caps.

Help: looking for... 1997 SE TB Digital Broadcasts
Time
As you can see from the pic i posted on the first page they are burnt in . Only way is to cut & copy from the 2004 SE or from the TB release(i think the TB has a logo in the top right corner?)

http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/4501/vlcsnap92876zt6.png

I was going to edit the Gkar to have an english title ect(using 2004 SE DVDs) but to much effort when the english TB release is out there . Im still hoping i can grab a copy of it.

As for people unable to copy the TB release what program are you using to try & copy it?....most programs can ignore the CRC errors.

Alcohol 120% is one example.

Also looks like Eps V & IV of the German HDTV 1080p captures have been reupped.

Star Wars Episode IV - Eine neue Hoffnung 1080p

Im downloading the 720p ESiR release now . I would love ze German 1080p captures but since i live in the land down under a few things are limiting me .

1. Crappy 512kb ADSL
2. Even crapper 25/25 download limit
3. Only have a 20Gb USENet account

So if anyone has/is getting them & wouldnt mind burn them on some DVDs for me (i of course will pay postage/dvds ect)

You should use Fraps(www.fraps.com) to capture. You need a pretty good PC otherwise you will get a slow down when running the emulator.

The free version places a "Fraps.com" @ the top of the video
The paid version(can be found on torrent sites ) offers higher quality captures & no watermark

Much better than the screen capture programs.

Help: looking for... 1997 SE TB Digital Broadcasts

There are serveral 1997SE "High Quality" releases

1. The "TB release" SE, which is an English DVB recordings.
2.The "GKar" SE, German DVB recordings.
3. HDTV 1080p versions released on Usenet awhile back(German & English versions)

I am trying to get my hands on the German & English(UK) HDTV 1080P releases & also wouldnt mind the TB release.

I have the "Gkar" release which similar to the TB release expect the crawls & Han/Greedo & Jaba subs are in german. The end credits are english but seem to be from a LD or VHS rip(but i dont watch the end credits so it doesnt matter to me)

I have no problem sending you a copy or you could get the release of Rikter(i originally got them off him)

edit: should mention it also comes with german start menu . German 5.1, English 5.1(Upmix) & English 2.0 audio
edit 2: some screen caps of ANH

Well DVD writers are cheap(ive got 4 but DL discs are not, $9 is still to much in my books and they are not fast, sure NEC have 4x and some others have 6x DL on there burners, but the only discs out are the 2x and you wont see verbatim or ritek releasing faster ones anytime soon they have enough problems making 2x DL discs. Zion is going to release his version on DVD5 and DVD9 as is MeBeJedi
