Unless it was heavily compressed. I don't think it would be that disagreeable for a documentary, especially if VBR were used. We'll just have to try it both ways and see.

Yes, it's possible - but make sure you have an RF demodulator for your LD player first.

Standard VHS starts at roughly half the resolution as LD. As such, you've already cut one leg out from under the overall quality of your video project.

Also, with DVD Lab, you can use a bridge, so that you can link the 5.1 segments to the 2.0 segments, for continuous (though not necessarily seamless) playback.

Don't forget that the Def. Col. set had a fixed release. Some sets have the split saber, some don't. The Japanese Faces set also has the split saber, despite coming from the same transfer.

That's TOO funny! I was *just* talking about this movie the other day in our X0 forum. It's so bad, that there's a "Mystery Science Theater 2000" version of it. You guys should look for it. It's one of my favorites.
