Classic Edition: The Empire Strikes Back by Ocpmovie (Released)
Time
"As far as the CE goes, rendering it out in VideoJPEG resulted in some oddness - every edit point was suddenly off by two frames, or between one and eight frames. This made all the careful compositing and FX work I'd done now useless and screwed up (as even the still frames were suddenly on the wrong frame.)"

Perhaps you are going between 24 and 30 fps? (Just a thought)

Kick-ass horror movies
Time
" man i thought that IT was good when I was a kid but watching it now... not so good. "

I thought it was a leeeettle cheesy, but I like it overall. Curry certainly kicked ass in that film.

(I still remember the scene in the library, when no one else sees the balloons. Despite this, some of the people blink when they pop. )

BTW, I recently saw Darkness. Odd story, but DAMN, was it spooky. I read a review saying it was a great exercise in building suspense, and I have to agree wholeheartedly. Few films have made my skin crawl like this one did. It's amazing how scary the film is without falling back on "stuff jumping up in your face", as most films tend to rely on now.

Serenity
Time
Since TPM, the only movies I've seen in the theater was Finding Nemo and ROTS, both for my children's sake. My wife and I, being big Firefly fans, are going to see Serenity in the theater tomorrow. It's my daughter's birthday, and my wife has bible study, but we're going to squeeze it in.

Sometimes do you feel like you should give up on the cause?
Time
"A lot of people think that Lucas went crazy sometime in the nineties and is only doing this for the money. Who knows his true intentions, but one thing is certain: from the Admiral Ackbar cookie mold to Revenge of the Sith toilet paper, there has always been some obscure items with Star Wars slapped on them."

Which is why I have the .sig I now have.

I, myself, haven't lost faith in what Star Wars used to be...only in what it has become, and where it is heading.
