The Liam Neeson Mystery (spoilers within but questions answered)
Time
"How do you know the delivery if it was deleted?"

The same goes for your apparent presumption that these lines, if spoken, would be presented in any way other than the dull, lifeless manner in which all the other lines in the PT are spoken.

Furthermore, are you telling me that two lines, written exactly the same way, in two different films are both going to be conveyed the same way? Focusing solely on what's written on paper is not helping your argument at all.

Thought on de-SE'ing the DVD
Time
IMDB says the SE's are 5.1, but I swear Neil (or someone) said they were 4.0 [EDIT] (Perhaps he meant they were mastered from a 4.0 source? That sounds more familiar.)

Regardless, I think it would be better to use the DVD PCM track as a master, rather than the LD AC3 converted to WAV, and then back to AC (which we'd have to do with the fronts anyways - unless the entirety of the LD soundtrack was used, minus "bring my ship" and Luke's yell, of course. )

Another Trilogy DVD Screw Up?
Time
But 16x9 means a 1.78:1 ratio. Such an aspect ratio would fill a widescreen TV top to bottom and side-to-side. The SW films are 2:35:1, which means they are horizontally narrower than a widescreen tv, and thus would (and indeed, have) black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. Whatever the reasoning for this croping, it was not intended for completely filling a 16:9 frame, because the DVD transfer doesn't do this.

Things you DID NOT like about Episode III
Time
"The film was f@*&ing great! No comparison with the first two prequels that really sucked. You honestly want people to believe that you think Anakin's turn to the dark side was not convincing, and Luke's LAME strugle not to hit the emperor in ROTJ was?"

Luke showed a great deal more anger in almost turning to the dark side, than Anakin did when he did turn to the dark side. Other than that, your "lame" comment sounds like something Kam would say about the PT.

Besides, I thought the later part of ROTS was very watchable.

Is this set up any good?
Time
What's funny is that native footage from my mini-DV looks crystal clear and vibrant, but if I use my camera's "video pass-thru" feature (which essentially captures analog and converts to DV for my computer), there's definite loss of color range and definition. My $40 capture card with a Huffy codec blows the pants off the DV capture with my $700 camera.
