Billy Zane as a Storm Trooper!
Billy Zane as a Storm Trooper!
Watching one of them now. Yup, they either zoomed in the image, or stretched it vertically. I missed the intro tho, it autotuned right after the opening scroll.
Long ago airplanes used to be able to shoot backwards.
The Phantom Menace also assumes you like to watch bad movies.
Boring, not bad. If it was just bad it could still be entertaining.
So they cut out the fox intro too?
I don’t really like Early Mel either. Only movies of his I like are Spaceballs, Men in Tights, and Dracula. Like he said, MIT ain’t as good once you’ve grown up, but it was hilarious as a kid. I still watch it.
Past Lucasfilm releases have always been an exercise in how to get the most money from the least amount of effort. In the extremely unlikely scenario Lucasfilm issues a new improved OOT home video release, er, ever, it’s going to have the 81 crawl, the 93 audio, effed up colors, and degrain/regrain, at the very least–and likely some horrifying audio remastering as well, because that’s the established workflow and changing that would require effort. Access to the original negative only matters if you care about the film.
I dunno about that, for the SE they actually recreated a scene and refilmed it. And for the DVD releases of 1-3 they actually went back and added special effects to deleted scenes. This lead to many fanedits including them.
That looks good. Hope netflix gets it.
Yeah, I saw a commercial too.
I got it first time. Capping means capturing them, as in recording. Anyway, I thought this was supposed to be coming on TBS, not TNT, I saw them on the guide 2 days ago finally. I’ll record them asap. Now I don’t have to go to the living room to watch them on the blu-ray player.
Far as getting more usable footage, I’m betting they are just the blu-ray versions, so I doubt there’ll be anything worth recording, unless you wanna up the commercials to youtube or something.
Do you think it’s possible that they’ll reveal Rey had no training and she learned force powers without help from anyone? I know people are saying that she may have had force training but Kylo Ren says himself that she is untrained but strong in the force. I think it would be really dumb if it turns out she learned all those powers at the moment. I’d rather it was learned she had training younger in her life and forgot she did. That would be more believable.
This seems to imply that wood wouldn’t burn hot enough to melt steel. I dunno what type of metal Darth was supposed to be wearing tho.
So about Vader’s helmet melting in 7. I know in reality it was plastic, but storywise wasn’t it supposed to be some sort of metal? Why do you guys think they decided to make it plastic canonically?
Pedophile jokes aren’t funny. May your GOUT DVD’s all skip.
Oya, thats a really good explanation. I dunno if I’d go back to look for footprints either if I knew there was sinking sand around.
I didn’t think of the prequels cause I wasn’t into Star Wars then.
So why do you guys think Finn didn’t know Poe Dameron survived? Wouldn’t there have been footprints in the sand that he ran away in? Wasn’t that robot with him? Couldn’t it have told Finn that he survived and ran away?
I like practical aliens when they look good. But Yoda moves muppety and his movement isn’t as natural as CG would have been. Chewie looks fine cause he’s just a humanoid with fur. He don’t have a wagging tail or anything. I noticed that just now. Hardly any Star Wars aliens have tails. 3PO and R2 have always looked fine as robots.
Well, at the time I didn’t have the blu-rays so I was curious about the changes. When I finally got it I saw they didn’t change as much as I thought they would. Sadly no CG Yoda in V and VI.
Oh good. I was waiting for the longest time to hear if someone got the tv rights for it. Suddenly a station got the rights and are airing them in a week? It will be nice that this time around they’ll be airing the Blu-ray versions. I was wishing for that when Spike was airing the DVD versions while the Blu-ray versions were already out.
So you think they could listen to a fax machine and know what it’s saying? I know they couldn’t talk back, but they could probably know what it’s saying.
Back in the days I was suprised to see this on shelves still. I bought it right away when it came out cause it was supposed to be a limited time thing. Is there a official reason it was expanded from a few months to 6 years?
It wasn’t meant that way.
This is now a parody thread. 😦
What if the new Star Trek series, which tries to be a hybrid of the old shows and the new movies, turns out like the Charlies Angels series, which was also a hybrid of the old shows and new movies. Didn’t seem enough fans were interested enough to give it the ratings it needed to continue on for a second season.
