So is this basically a de-SE project? In which case, isn't the name Star Wars: Special Edition kind of confusing?

I left several SE elements in, thats the reason that I named it Star Wars: Special Edition

Tagge (or whatever his name was): Until this station is fully operational we are venerable. The Rebel Alliance is too well equiped, and more dangerous then you realise.
Motti: Dangerous to your starfleet commander, 'not' to this battle station.
Tagge: The Rebellion will continue to gain the support in the Imperial Senate as lon.
Tarkin: The Imperial Senate will no longer be any concern to us. I just recieved word that the Emperor desolved the council pemanantly. The last remanence (sp) of the Old Republic has been swept away.
Tagge: Thats impossible, how can the Emperor maintain control that the democrac.
Tarkin: Regional Gouveneurs now have direct control over their terretories. Fear, will keep the local systems in line. Fear of this battle station.
Tagge: And what with the Rebellion?
Motti: This station is now the ultimate power in the universe, I suggest we use it.

This disc is created with the 2004 Official DVD, Moth3r PAL ANH laserdisc transfer and ocpmovie’s Star Wars: Classic Edition for the Binary Sunset, this scene was for me almost impossible to do just with Photoshop CS2.

The audio mix is created using the audio of the 1995 THX laserdisc and the original mono mix.
The sound mix is Dolby Digital 2.0 AC3 at 448kbps.
I will include three different audio tracks, the new “0.77” audio mix, an isolated score and a new commentary track.
The “0.77” audio mix is almost entirly made with the 1995 audio, but I used the DVD audio for Mos Eisley, because I really liked the expanded Mos Eisley. The “droid” and “Jawa” scenes have been cut out.

This is a PAL project made with Adobe Photoshop CS2, Adobe Audition, Womble, VirtualDubMod and TMPGenc.
I overall sharpened the image and applyed a slight color correction. The image is brightend to match the original version of Star Wars.

As extra’s I will include the cut Biggs scenes, the original Jabba scene and part one of an edited version of “Empire of Dreams” (this will include new footage).

A pics of a few edits (the quality of the pics doesn’t match the DVD, it looks way better ):
Tantive IV has back his red/yellow engines!
Green laserblots for the Devastator
a GREY Devastator
Fixed Title Card
LOOK! Luke’s lightsaber is BLUE instead of GREEN
I will post some menu shots tomorrow.
I hope you guys will like the final edit

LUKE: No, its alright.
Whats wrong with him now?
TREEPIO: He says their are several creatures approching from the south-east.
LUKE: Sandpeople. Or worst.
Come on, lets have a look.

BEN: Come here my little friend, don't be afraid.
Oh, he will be alright.
LUKE: Ben? Ben Kenobi? I'm glad to see you here.
BEN: Rest easy son, you had a busy day. Your fortunate to be in one piece. Now tell me, young Luke, what brings you out this far?
LUKE: Well this little droid. He was searching for his former Master, but I've never seen such a bevotion in a droid before. He claims to be the property of an Obi-Wan Kenobi. Is he a relative of yours, do you know who he is talking about?
BEN: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Obi-Wan. Well thats a name I didn't hear in a long time, a long time.

Funny stuff, and some interesting details.

That being said, I can't believe he missed the gaffe in ROTJ, where Luke's lightsaber is behind Vader's: http://www.dmeb.net/speb/foryoureyes/Emperor31.jpg

Huh, but Luke strikes from right to left (more or less) so it should be behind Vader's.

But Vader blocked Luke's saber is its logical that Vader' saber should be behind Luke' saber.

Yep, thats the walking stick he is talking about. It looked better on the DVD's but WTF don't they just re-rotoscope the entire blade instead of adding a weak glow to make them look like analog PT lightsabers.

Star Wars: Rise of the Empire (* unfinished project *)
Time

I recently started working at a complete saga edit, but when I came to editing ROTS and ANH together I decided I better should make a new opening crawl and start editing the 2 movies together.
I am trying to change the score in ROTS, started de-SEing ANH so the original storyline is their again and I am trying to make some new SF shots (i’m not sure if these will make it to the final version, because at the moment they are really buggy)
I’m trying to get this done sometime around July/August (i’m probably am not going to be able to finish this earlier thanks to school)
A very early stage trailer (you really notice this at the end)

If you have any questions, suggestions or comments I’ll be glad to hear them.

EDIT: Changed the name to Rise of the Empire, I think Empire at War would be better for a ESB and/or ROTJ edit
(Another) EDIT: Just stopped this because I tohught it sucked, I am again working on Star Wars: Special Edition
