Do you play M.A.M.E?
Time
Hehe, I own a SNES and all my favorite gaming modules for them. What I unfortunately don't have, is an intellevision. It was not very popular in germany, but two kids in the neighbourhood had one and I really loved the games on there, greatest console ever. All the games look almost as good as the arcade machines of that time.

I might buy one of Intellevision's emulation packages someday, though. intellivisionlives.com

Movies that have never been released in original form on DVD

@Luke Skywalker: jimbo is cool with me, because he is one of the few persons who prefer the SE, but still care for the original cuts and support this petition. He also just mentioned a very good point about the illogical double standards of the 'pc' patching in the SEs (which shows he's not one of those self proclaimed Lucas-Ideology-Crusaders that don't use their brains).

When it comes down to this poll thing, I'm d'accord with SpecialEditionSaboteur. One of the best posts on how the masses work, imho.

@jimbo: Here's my answer to that point:

My point is, that the better SFX were just the sugar coating with which Lucas tried to sell people his ridiculous 'political correctness' and disney slapstick upgrades he incorporated into the movies.

Basically he's saying: "Want better SFX? Then you got to live with the changes I came up with."

I also don't understand how you OT antagonists always anticipate, that people would not want the white boxes, black lines and force fields fixed. People just want the original theatrical cuts. And of course they want it in the best possible picture and sound quality available for the DVD format. That's something everyone would expect from a DVD release.
It would all be good if he wouldn't try to force the SE on us. By doing this, it almost seems that he doesn't like those changes himself. I also think that your sig pretty much sums up what Lord Peeler is trying to do with us - with little chance of success I might add.

@Lord Peeler: LMAO, are you noticing that you're becoming kinda desperate to come up with logical reasons for not releasing both cuts on DVD? You seem to be very afraid that it might actually happen.

@Lord Peeler: If you expect to be taken serious by me, stop praying down the 'George is always right' mantra. The original theatrical cuts are not rough cuts. Your feeble attempts to extend Lucas' fictional reality into these message boards are bound to fail. Take off that brainslug and start thinking for yourself.

Btw, welcome to these boards. Welcome - to the real world.

The only people that really annoy me, are those die hard George Lucas fans, who hang their flag with his wind. If he'd make a full u-turn on his opinion, and revert to his old "the original theatrical cuts are timeless" policy, the same guys who now promote GL's SE point-of-view so agressively would all of a sudden turn their coats to the new 'fashion' set by him.

To me that guy is not a bad person, just a guy who will never make up his mind about these films and he will continue to meddle with them until he's too old to do so. StarWars is so much bigger than the mind that created it, sad but true.

@warbler and jimbo: Please duel it out over private messages, or even better - resort to a more civilized way of resolving your quarrels.

CGI Attack: 3D models database

Hehe, of course he had to pre-select the page with the imperial navy vessels for us.

If you guys do anything with those models, don't forget to inform/credit the modelers of/for it. Hmm... if I find the time, I might make an originaltrilogy.com rendermovie... doing custom-banners is getting a bit dull of late. I'll post all my custom banners (in the proper forum section of course) soon.
