I think you could import it into Womble MPEG Video Wizard DVD and export it as an MPEG-2 file and you should keep both audios.

Peter Jackson said in a documentary on the return of the king extended edition that it was not important how quick gollum died once he hit the lava. He said the look on gollum's face was important, and the look on his face of someone who had just been betrayed by something he trusted. He thought the ring was his precious but in reality it did not give a crapt about him, and in that moment he realized that. Hope that clears that up. The scourging of the shire on film would have been anti-climatic. Think about it, you are already exhausted from thecurrent length of the film and the many endings and you see aragon crowned and your heading back to the shire. But when you get there its hell on earth. The audience would have been thinking "when the hell does this end". The movie was long enough I mean come on 4 hrs. 10 min. is way to long.

And what exactly would han and leia be doing through half of the movie. Remember that Han has to blow up the shield generator, and there is no way to make that work if they are not on Endor.

I think they shot Goblet of Fire in super 35 because it does not look as bad as The Prisoner of Azkaban Fullscreen DVD did.

It is amazing how in the past few weeks George Lucas has completely destroyed his credibilty among his fan base. I can't even stand to hear his name. He would be nothing if it was not for us. If it was not for us there would have been no ticket sales and no DVD sales. Fans walked into that theater in 1977 blind. They did not know what they were about to see, but they took a chance. It is because of this that he has what he has. If the movie would have flopped the studio would have kicked his ass for even breathing. But because of us he was able to go on and make the other 5 episodes and slowly decline into the sad pitiful state he is now. So the way I see it is we saved his ass back in 1977, and he owes us.

I have the the 1982 & the 2000 boxset. I was just wondering was if there were any audio or picture quality differences between the 1997 & 2000 boxsets because I do not own the 1997 boxset.

They are hidious, thats for sure! They are pitiful covers, and have "rushed release" writtenall over them. Han and Leia look really out of place in the photo, and look at Chewie, C3PO, and R2-D2 in the bottom corner. Chewie looks like he has stumbled into the image by accident. Jeez, I am so sick of this hack fest. We love these movies, and why can't George Lucas just respect that and give us a decent looking release!

The Original Trilogy is the true Star Wars. I prefer models over CGI because CGI looks to cartoonish. I do agree with you on the lightsabers they need to fix them in the next special edition set.
