Xerxes, size was never a fantastical thing with me, because giants or people taller than 8 feet tall have existed in the past. Like, Galioath( if you believe the Bible). So I was never thrown off by his size. Also the giant guy with the swords never bothered me because skin and tissue will grow around things. Cut the arms place the swords inside sow up the wound around the swords, and eventually skin and tissue will form around the object. It is like the brain, when some foriegn object gets in your brain say like a bullett or nail, your brain tissue will grow to the object and form recepters to it ( if you survive the accident). It doesn't recognize it as anything other than tissue so it grows to it. But I have never seen any record of a goat acting like that goat did. It was completely wrong.

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION

The reason why a praxis ring is appropriate is because with any big explosion and especially with something like a planet ther is going to be fallout. And that is how I see a praxis ring, as a short lived wave of particles highly compressed by energy and crushing space firing out in the only direction possible creating a flat wave. But, to each his own.

Six-Movie Star Wars Marathon at Celebration IV

In any event, LFL can kiss my ass for puting this thing in LA. I went to the first three Celebrations and always loved the fact that they were centrally located. I think they have shot themselves in the foot judging by how many people are bitching about the location. I would LOVE to get a look at their pre-registrations compared to CII and CIII in Indy. (And by the way, I am not an Indy homer, I live in Nebraska. And I have been to LA a few times and can say that I think it is a HORRIBLE location for this event just on atmosphere alone.) Indy was awesome, as was Denver (though admittedly a little small for the event).

K... done bitching. And yeah, these will most likely just be projections of the DVD's as this was the same way they advertised the showings in Indy two years ago. As far as the Celebration, if anyone is going I would greatly appreciate setting up a purchase of the poster from the event. I have the first three posters and would like to complete the set. As for the event itself, I'll tune into the Spike TV coverage to see how it goes. I am sure they will be totally "respectful" of our fandom.

I have never been to one of these and want get to go to this one. What does the poster look like that you talking about, because I would love to have one.

The Best Star Wars Books?

It is way better than the film, and it makes a lot more sense because you can read Anakin's inner struggle rather than just watching Hayden make weird facial expressions which could easily be mistaken for constipation.

I agree. Read the book then watch the movie, and you will understand a lot more. When I saw the movie in theaters with my dad and a friend, they came out asking questions and complaining about some parts that made sense to me and seemed really good all because I read the book. The ROTS novelization is pretty much a character analysis, but an awsome one.

adywan, I completely support your decision to use the shock wave. Not to put down the original, but I watched the video posted by tellan recently of Alderran exploding, and something about the way Alderann explodes in the original just isn't realistic. It looks like I am watching something small explode not a planet. I just prefer the shockwave over the original. Also, the death star explosion should look different, because it isn't the size of Alderran and doesn't have the same composition as Alderran. I am glad you are doing it this way.

Another bloody edit of TPM (* unfinished project *)

Which music are you talking about?

Also regarding your comments about the underwater chase, if I could pull it off I would cut the whole thing. It is completely unrealistic, and has the same monster in two totally different places. I mean come on, a planet core made out of water.

Erik, you gave me credit for making this statement, but I didn't.

marvolo:
The birth of Vader felt like a rushed CG fest to me. It is like Palps had an instant Vader maker lying around for just such an occasion. Throw in the half dead, charred body of a fallen comrade and presto! Out pops your very own Sith Lord! I just didn't like how he spends a few minutes on the table as a bunch of droids throw artificial appendages on him, and slip a leather suit right onto his freshly burnt and still melty skin. Then he stands up and everything is fine. I would have imagined months of rebuilding with some of the republics finest physicians.

I didn't make this statement either.

Just wanted to clear that up.

When I said "stripping the film of its realism" I didn't mean in terms of how the blood looked I meant it in terms of how much there was. Just thought I would explain what I meant. And on another note, is anyone planning to see it again? I might go watch it again this weekend.
