KotOR and the PT

I'm unsure on how many of you are familiar with the video games Knights of the Old Republic I and II, however, the story of the first, in my opinion, is a work of genius. I never saw the plot twist coming at all. If you are unfamiliar with the storyline of the first game, here's a summery: You play an outcast with little-to-nothing to remember your past. You have, however, some dreams of memories and the like. You find out quickly that it's been ten years since a dark lord, Revan, has waged war on the galaxy (his apprentice, Malak, has taken his place since then). Revan since disappeared and was never seen or heard from again. After several side adventures, and towards the end of the story, you find out that you are Revan, although Revan is dead. You get to chose your destiny (i.e. Light or Dark Side).

The question is, with some obvious alternations and the like, do you think this premise would have worked for the Prequel Trilogy (with Anakin as the character with an unknown past, but exceptional Force skills; unknowingly to himself and everyone else that he was a dark lord from the past who forgot his past)? Obviously whoever he was as the dark lord before he was turned back to Anakin would be dead;however, after finding out that he was the war lord that he has been hunting (either on his own, or from Palpatine) would probably push anyone into self-hatred, thus, after many side plots, Darth Vader is born...

What do you guys think?

What if Lucas directed _____ ?
Time
Hey guys,
Although I have great respect for Lucas, this thread is to ponder the pending question of what would happen if Lucas directed any other popular, non-Star Wars film? And what humorous, unnecessary, Lucas-like changes (i.e. too much CGI, arbitrary action sequences, terrible dialogue) would there be to the films.

For example:
Let's take Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ. I'd say if Lucas was directing the film, Jim Caviezel's Jesus would be replaced with a CGI Jesus, who whips the Romans first, instead of not fighting back (much like Han Solo shooting first). Judas would be replaced with Ahmed Best (Jar Jar) for much-needed "comic relief", with lines like: "Muy-Muy... Meesa betray yousa for 30 pieces of silver..."

Finally, there would be an unnecessary musical change in the middle of the movie, with nothing to do with the film or the plot at all. Lucas would just think it's cool to have a random song in a passion film, with Pharisees and Romans doing the chicken dance together, while stepping in camel poop...

Now it's your turn...

OK, I just wanna know for sure - re Supershadow...
Time
Yeah, everything on that website it a load of b.s. There are atleast a dozen websites that rebuttle what supershadow.com states (just look them up on google.com). His "exclusive" interviews with george lucas contradict such reliable sources as Vanity Fair and 60 Minutes. It's staggering that no one at Lucasfilm has tried to shut the site down, due to it's tendency to spread fabrications of sadistic nature on Lucas himself and his family...

Prequels and Superman
Time
I understand that Lucas may have not ripped off the idea straight from the story of Superman. I do know that he's used other plotlines, stories and characters as a foundation for his own. For example; James Bond was an inspiration for Indiana Jones, and I read somewhere that Robin Hood was a pre-concept for the character of Han Solo. I believe it was Nitsche who stated there is no such thing as an original idea. As a writer myself, I understand that borrowing ideas is not plagiarizing nor stealing, I just find it interesting when two separate stories coincide almost identically, yet have an almost totally different outcome.

Prequels and Superman
Time
Forgive me if someone's already stated this before, but, has anyone else ever noticed how Anakin's character and the parent/ child relationship in Ep.II is so reminiscent of that of Clark Kent's in the original Superman Movie with Christopher Reeve? Kent's Father dies tragically; Anakin's Mother dies equally as tragic. Both have superhuman, unnatural powers, however, they're both perplexed and stunned on how they couldn't "save" their loved one. They both wine about it (and rightfully so) in their funeral scene. the only major difference I can see is Kent doesn't fall into evil temptation, whereas Anakin obviously does. I know Lucas is notorious for "borrowing" ideas from other movies, stories and such, but these two mirror each other too much to be just coincidence... Just a thought. What does every one else think?

MagnoliaFan Edits: Ep I "Balance Of The Force", and Ep II "The Clone War" (Released)
Time
Hey guys,
I'm new here and just recently found out about these magnoliafan edits. I'm just wondering where and how I can get a copy of both movies for myself? Like most Star Wars fans, Ep.1 and 2 were a disappointment (because of lack of great dialogue, lack of character development, and strange, often arbitrary action sequences). Any fan edit who feels my pain and actually takes the time to render these films somewhat tolerable is a great idea... Just let me know. I appreciate the help!
